Stafford and Puca and Parkinson and Adams would have shredded the Pats defense. Darnold and JSN will also be tough but maybe a slight level below Rams offense. However, SEA defense is better than Rams.
Stopping JSN is going to be very difficult without constantly doubling him.
I'm going to say this since the national media won't. New England Patriots have an elite Defense too.. we don't get to the superbowl without the play of the D..

McVay not taking the points with 5 minutes and 3 timeouts was a terrible move. The likelihood of the Seahawks draining the clock and scoring a TD to go up 8 was slim to none. Rams most likely would've gotten the ball back and had a chance to either kick a field goal to win it or have to score a TD and two point conversion.

That and the idiotic punt returner who will get cut were the difference.

Just like past patiots teams.. but but most notably the 01 team.. this patiots team continues to be disrespected.. I actually like this match up for us better than I liked the rams match up..

We can pressure Darnold into mistakes.. Seattle has a good defense but nothing like Houstons or Denver IMO..

2 weeks to game plan and prepare.. I like the offense to get back on track..

Anyone who tells you Seattle has a good offensive line is lying, btw. They're pretty bad. I expect the Patriots front four to wreck shop yet again.

I continue to see and hear the disrespect out team is getting from the national pundits.. Warner who's a big Drake fan surprisingly says he doesn't know if the Patriots are a championship team.. ..

They were 4-13 last 3 seasons. This season they slayed every AFC powerhouse in thier way en route to the superbowl... let me say again the SUPERBOWL... the roster isn't even a finished product yet they continue to win in different ways..Seattle in my opinion isn't on the same level as Houston or Denver defensively.. they are good but they can be had... with 2 weeks to prepare and a rested team i love out chances against a good but journeyman QB in Darnold. Take JSN out the game you hamper that offense. Also charbonet is out.
Seattle is on that level, better than Denver defensively and on a level with the Texans.

But it's all about matchups. Our weakness is left side of our line. Houston and Denver were particularly well-suited to take advantage of that. Seattle a bit less so.

I don't think so.. Seattle's defense is good but not on a level of Houston or Denver.. JMO.. Houston and Denver get pressure with just their edge guys alone.. Seattle is a notch under what we've witnessed.. thus far rams had thier way with them last night.. Seattle's defense is amped up at home and the 12th man is a real factor.. game will be on equal ground for both teams... I like the 9-0 team on the road this season.

Agreed.. I also think posters are getting caught up in Seattle's D.. they are good but they aren't JMO on a level of pressure and chaos that Houston and Denver do to offenses.. there's another team that also has an elite Defense... you may have heard of them... .. last seen winning the AFCCG

This will be the worst defense the Patriots will have faced in the entire playoffs.

Spot on Tommy... they are an NFCW team and many ppl get caught up in the allure of them being like the legion of boom. Far from them.. that Seattle defense was loaded..

I think they are good..however I personally believe we play better team defense.

I heard them during the broadcast say the Pats were in the Super Bowl, but did anyone catch them talking about it? I never heard Tom's thoughts on it.

This is as dumb as the guy who thinks the Patriots should play in a dome.
They should just put the whole continent in a dome. It'd be like that TV show Under the.... Um... I can't remember.

I don't think this is true.

The one thing Seattle has that the Texans and Denver did not was an offense. With your offense possessing the ball more, your defensive numbers improve just by virtue of having the ball more. This is why Cleveland's D is so impressive. They have a horrific offense, yet excellent D numbers.

Seattle is #3 in offensive points scored, while Denver and Texans are middle of the pack.

I do realize Lawrence, Williams, Murphy are excellent in the front 7, and Witherspoon is one of the top CBs, but I believe they are vulnerable as has been shown numerous times this season.

I’d take my chances against JsN than Nacua and Adams.

Seatttle doesn’t have the elite offensive talent that LA had.
I agree that LA has multiple threats BUT...

JSN put up the 8th greatest season by a WR in NFL history.

So, you're right on one of your points, but anyway you cut it, JSN is elite offensive talent and so is Kenneth Walker.

On your other point you are right because Nacua put up the 14th greatest season by a WR in NFL history, and combined with Adams and the TEs, they are very good.

The only wild card here is Shaheed. We can't allow him to do what Mims did to us.

And despite the radio blaming Gonzo for that, it was really Hawkins's fault. Clearly. Gonzo had outside contain and Hawkins for some bizarre reason wasn't looking at the QB or Mims but instead he started cheating toward Woodson's guy and Woodson had his guy covered well.

A very poor move by Hawkins.

I know everyone loves Hawkins this year but I'm still drafting a safety to replace him.

I guess Tom is getting rave reviews for his performance calling the NFC Championship game. Although to be fair if they put RFK Jr. with his horrid voice on the call after having to listen to Nantz and Romo for 3 hours people would still love it.

Even the giant pricks at Awful Announcing couldn't deny it.

Tom's in a tough spot for the Super Bowl. He's going to be accused of being overly/underly critical of the Patriots no matter what he says.

Super Bowl is on NBC unfortunately, which means we have to suffer through Tirico.
