I will admit I was wrong. I thought the Pats wouldn't be capable of giving Drake the necessary time to make a deep ball.

As predicted, 98% of the segment slamming CJ Stroud, about 2% giving props to ne.

Houston could have won with 31 other qbs, and someone muttered jarret stidham . Keep it going ESPN!

I was just listening to this and it never stops. Dan Orlovsky just got the boot from my feeds.

I predicted this yesterday after the game. The national media won't give the pats defense credit for shutting the houston offense down, they play it like Stroud naturally sucks

the DEN defense is good but it’s not near the level of HOU (or SEA)

they can be had. especially if Stidham and the DEN offense can’t stay on the field
I'd say Denver D is a notch above Seattle and probably right under Houston.. they like 60 something sacks this season I believe.. Seattle like the Legion of boom did gets a real home field advantage that helps them.. but i agree they can be had.. we saw this against Buffalo and other times during the season.. where we can have success is attacking Moss the CB opposite Surtain

I know that we live in an era where facts and reality play no role in anything but this pretense that Stidham has done anything in this league is bordering on lunacy.

The narrative is that Sean Payton is a genius and he can win with any QB.

If we can get the same kind of pass rush that we had against the Texans, I can't wait to see how Stidham copes with it.

Also we just showed we have some pretty darn good ball hawks in our secondary.

I doubt Stidham is accurate enough to complete enough passes to win.

I’d take Nix 100 times over maye.

You know who's using one controversial OT call to cover up that Josh Allen let down his team?
Sean McDermott.
Oh yeah, that propaganda by McDermott should be studied by the CIA it was so masterful.

"Oh, pay no attention to all of MY failings! It was the refs, see, look over here!"

And look, the officiating in the NFL is terrible, we all know it. Brady and Belichick would probably have 11 rings if things were called right down the middle, but that particular play while it looked weird was actually correctly called.

What’s to figure out? He got hit while throwing and had the ball punched out on a rare designed run (or broken play, hard to tell).
He can’t pass block for himself.
No, he can’t pass block for himself. I do feel like his pocket awareness was not as sharp as it had been the last couple of games, but as you allude to the defenses they were facing factors into that.

I don’t really know what to think about the Denver defense. They allowed 34 to Jacksonville at the end of the year and they allowed 30 despite 5 turnovers against the Bills Saturday.

I think we should be able to score some points against them

My favorite podcast, Heed The Call, actually did start with (reluctant) praise of the Pats (reluctant since the host is a Jete fan), but then did quickly move into discussing Stroud.

They didn't mention that our DL was getting a lot of pressure on Stroud and how our DBs played their WRs really well, and how the overall defensive scheme and play calling was excellent.

They did mention that the Texans didn't have Nico Collins and that Dalton Shultz had to leave the game, which is fair, but again, we too have injuries. Hopefully Mack Hollins is ready for the Broncos game.

Bottom line, though, is we put up 28 on what was said to be the best defense in the league, and when the game was on the line in the 4th quarter Rham was a beast and we ate up the clock.

Bottom line: we were better than the Texans, and I right now don't give a damn if the Texans now have to decide to pay Stroud or let him walk.

It's a new era in NE. Hopefully that also means it's time to put that decades long Mile High jinx in the rear view mirror.

They led the NFL in sacks.. but to your point I saw some defenciency during some of the national games they played.. they struggled containing Mariota this season.. as you mentioned Jacksonville and Buffalo.. and they did let the giants score on them.. the benefits here is that Will Campbell has seem some premier edge rushers the last 2 games and that was work he needed as a rookie LT.. bonito and Cooper rely on speed Denver has smallish LBs. Attack Riley moss at CB all game.

I have made comments about Nix and Caleb playing like ****, but then making big plays in crunch time and I said you can't get credit for putting out a fire you started by winning in the 4th QTR.

Last night completely changed my perspective. Maye as a whole did not play well, but he did come through in some very big spots and it made me realize that very good QBs make the plays when needed despite not playing their best. That is what Maye did last night.

So I apologize to Nix and Caleb, you guys are better than I thought you would be and I can now appreciate you not playing well but then showing up big at times.

There was hardly a peep about our defense last week either. Dunno if im just biased here but the pats d and what theyve done to two legitimate playoff teams teams should be one of the top stories in the playoffs.

I just don’t think you put the blame on the qb when pass rushers aren’t blocked and hit his arm while he is throwing

They aren't big fans of Josh over there. Hey he gave them Tebowmania what more do they want? Lol
