Dunno if im sold yet. If they can hold each of the remaining opponents to 3 points then i
C'mon man, that's absurd.
That's never been done by any team since the 16- game schedule/multiple playoff game era.
That includes some of the greatest Defenses of all time. Just to name a few: 85 Bears,
Sapp Bucs, Ravens, 2014.Seahawks etc
Patriots D is one of the best in the NFL and has been all year when healthy.
They're pretty healthy right now. (Knock on wood with Gonzo).
Pats D absolutely dominated the Chargers.
They have as good a shot as anyone at winning the SB this year.

Joking my man

Josh Allen is a MAN. I can't compliment him high enough.
Little Marcus Jones just outright stoned an even bigger man with a solo open field tackle short of the goal line to prevent a TD last game.

Let’s see who deserves boundless compliments after we play the Bills again (assuming we both make it that far).

What has become perhaps now an even more pressing question is: Is our offensive Line good enough for a SB run...?

The Pats run defense early in the season was great until injuries kicked in. I think of the 2006 Colts that had the 32 worst run defense, historically bad and turned it around in the playoffs giving up 80 yards per game rushing... If the run defense steps up versus Hou and hopefully beyond, I am confident they can go far although right now, they are playing w house money.....

Absolutely yes. Combination of flu, rust, and some learning opportunities which I'm positive Marrone will coach up caused some issues with the LA USBs and yet we still won. More importantly we were rotating well enough that the DL was causing havoc and finished the game with an absolute textbook sack.

He had a better year than Allen no question.

....but the playoffs are a different beast.
It’s the Bill’s D that sucks. Won’t matter how great Josh Allen plays if his defense can’t stop anyone. I hope they toughen up enough to beat Denver, the Broncos offense is nothing special.

Before the injuries to Milton Williams, Spillane and others the Patriots had the best run defense in the NFL and were top five in preventing points.

Williams and Spillane are back… it won’t be easy to run or score on the Patriots.

Pass D is good. Run D is a sieve.

Any coincidence that the defense looked so sharp in Spillane’s first game back directing traffic?

I have confidence in Maye, he's performed really well when the pressure has been on him. He was great in the second half against the Chargers.
At a minimum, if Maye plays like he did vs LA, we'll be OK. He wasn't great passing the ball but that has a good amount to do with the Chargers D.

HOU is not great at defending mobile QBs which plays to Maye's running ability. Not sure how effective Rham/Tre will be running the ball but that might be aided by Maye running and making throws.

The Nico Collins situation is a potential death blow for HOU. They will not beat us with Schultz and their other wideouts. Period. If they can't sustain drives the D will wear down later in the game which will hopefully make running the ball a bit easier.
