Yes & anybody saying otherwise is lying and/or will be a fan when/if gets here. Bookmark this..

Here come the dislikes in 3..2…1…..
Calling me a liar, tsk. I luv me some shiny knob piece that makes it all about him. Anyway, I'd take him if the Eagles cut him and since he loves the Pats, I'm sure we'd be his 1st choice with a team-friendly contract selfless guy that he is, never mind Maye & McDaniels' style of spread the ball around & around. Maybe he could play some TE and RLKAG too.

The biggest thing about AJ Brown that scares me is the Buffalo Bills trading for him. We can say don't trade anything more than a 3rd, but I think this trade may come down to a bidding war. Allen to Brown would be super dangerous. Spending more capital to block the Bills may be worth it. Perhaps not higher than a 3rd, but additional picks. I dunno how I feel.

I think with the Patriots, Brown can return to being a 1,400 yard WR again. He is being wasted in Philly.

I think he will only command a second rounder. And I see the situation much like Randy Moss. Moss underperformed with Raiders and was toxic. And he was 29 at the time too. He came to the Patriots and had a record breaking season. Sure Brown ain't Moss and Maye ain't Brady, but Maye is a better deep ball passer than Brady and Brown is a great deep threat.

I think Brown would be a model citizen here (at least for a few years). He would be happy that McDaniels would put him in the best position to succeed. He would be happy that he has an accurate deep ball passing QB on the verge of being elite. He will be happy playing for Vrabel who he has a great relationship with. And he would be happy playing for his favorite team.

I think the Pats will trade for him. But then again, Brown doesn't have a no trade clause. So he doesn't have control of where he goes if the Eagles decide they don't like the Patriots' offer. So there is always a chance that Buffalo, San Diego, or another team outbid the Pats.

Lots of other ways to force your hand as a player with a 84 of 96 million $ contract in guarantees. Simply “I refuse to play and will sit out” “I want a contract renegotiation” in reality Brown pretty much has all the leverage if the eagles want any kind of decent return. No contender is going to give up anything more then a 6th if they don’t feel he wants to play for them.

Rosemen had a great run. But like many great GM’s it gets extremely hard to keep a window alive with a stacked roster. Brown and his agent, just like hurts bent him over on this one.

Kyle Williams shouldn't lose snaps because AJ Brown is here. That kid is showing he belongs with timely catches and more importantly blocking his butt off when the ball doesn't come his way.

The two are not even on the same planet, and they would play very different roles. Get rid of Pop. There is plenty of room with Hollins, Diggs, Brown, Boutte, Williams, Chiz.

Assuming Vrabel wants him, I'd be on board since he knows Brown well. He's a #1 guy and younger than Diggs.
This is what you do, you get the superstar WR with the QB on the first contract. Take advantage of that window.

All that said I doubt the Eagles trade him.

I think they will take a 2nd for him, and I would do it given that their 2nd will be in the late 50's to early 60's.

I had a problem with Brown's complaining but was convinced by others here that the offense was the problem and not Brown. They need to plan for life after Diggs and Hollins, and Brown gives them a big physical presence downfield.

Like I said, i don’t remember him being a cancer in Tennessee and he loves Vrabel.

I don’t think he will be a cancer here.

Normally I would disagree, people just don't change like that, however some intelligent posters here made the argument that the issue is the offense, not Brown, and given the way they went out it's pretty strong argument.

is he a malcontent, or does he have enough football knowledge and self awareness to know he isn't being used properly, and that the eagle offense is a mess, and wants more from his career?

some guys, WRs especially, are happy to get the $$.......Brown seems like he wants to compete, and team & culture matter to him......in that regards, seems like a pretty good fit......

comes down to cost to get him and cost to pay him..........but personally i like someone who seems to care about more than just getting paid, who wants to win, who has a little chip on their shoulder......by the time he starts to wash, williams should be developed into that viable deep guy, boutte is already seemingly ready to take that mack hollins role......give me an actual NFL level slot, and you've got a WR room

This is where the conversation needs to go if this is to be a useful one.
Whose snaps does he take? The roles matter here. Probably mostly Hollins'?

He had a bad game. Every player has bad games. You can’t judge him on just one game.
Correct but the whole season for him was just off. I don't blame him 100% for it but he was a part of it.

It needs to be understood why a player who has 3 drops in 2 years has 3 in one game and his coach crawls up his ass during the game.

Nope, 16.7 dead cap space this year if they cut him. Of course the whole idea of trading or cutting him is under the predicate that their differences are irreconcilable.
And 43 million the following year. That makes their differences reconcilable.

It is $43 million. That tweet was for if he was traded before the trade deadline. The $16 million was what they would have eaten for the 2025 season which is over.

But I get that $43 million is a massive amount to eat, but teams have eaten more like the Broncos with Russell Wilson. It all depends if the relationship has soured enough.

But I am still guessing a trade wouldn’t happen until after June 1 so the Eagles could spread out the cap hit over multiple years.
The hit is the hit regardless of spreading it.

He had some bad drops yesterday. I'm kinda on the fence...
That's really where I am. Also...

By definition, yes.

i guess - but it sounds like he's more disappointed his organization is being poorly run and wasting it's talent.......there is no excuse that offense is that bad, and he's not the cause of that, not the effect

i guess i'd view a malcontent WR as someone who simply feels they aren't being paid to their perceived talent level ("i've gotta be the highest paid WR") or is pissed because they "aren't getting the ball enough" regardless of how their team is doing

AJ actually seems to care about the bigger picture; so maybe by definition, but i get it, i think

Is he part of it? Or a victim of a bad system? Barkley went from 2005 yards, 13 TDs, and 5.8 YPC in 2024 to 1,1140 yards, 4 TDs, and 7 TDs in 2025. The Eagles offense as a whole was enemic. I watched a few games where Brown was wide open down the field and Hurts just missed him completely.

Sure, but if you can spread it out over several years, you can make the hit more palpable.

The knowledgeable Eagles fans i've spoken to want Patullo's head on a spike. No creativity.

Iggles had line problems but also I think Saquon suffered 2k fatigue.

It’s still the same hit. Hurting you in multiple seasons doesn’t make it better.

He respects Vrabel so much that I absolutely would take him. The Eagles head coach is an idiot and the QB is basically Tyrod Taylor 2.0. I think AJ is tapped and needs new scenery. People felt a certain way about Moss before he came and the same with Diggs. Both worked out great so why not AJ Brown? I would be ok with a 3rd round pick along with other compensation. If it's for a 2nd rounder I'd want AJ and another pick coming back. Maybe a 4th or something.

I think the problem is the QB. Hurts with the best OL, best RB and 2 pro bowl level WRs and a good TE is a pretty good QB.
Hurts with less than the best group of 10 in the league surrounding him and being relied upon to elevate them isn’t good.
