Would you be ok with trading for AJ Brown

Somewhere between Hell No and **** No. A significant part of what brought the prior dynasties and possibly this one as well together was the recipe of players and coaches who gave all and completely willingly sacrificed whenever possible. AJ is way too ME first. I'd rather have an average team first than a ME first superstar.

He didn’t drop a ball all season in 2024. This season, he had one drop in the regular season. I am not worried about his hands.
He had three drops yesterday. A player of his caliber makes those catches.

For a short, incentive laden contract based on production, health and availability.

I don't mind paying him a lot, just want insurance if he isn't available or becomes a distraction.

All that being said, he needs us a lot more than we need him.

Kyle Williams shouldn't lose snaps because AJ Brown is here. That kid is showing he belongs with timely catches and more importantly blocking his butt off when the ball doesn't come his way.

I probably would have been more against it weeks ago. Didn't realize he was such a Pats fan. Kinda warms me up to him...and he is pretty damned good. Obviously, we'd have to do it in a way that was cost-effective for us and protects us, but AJ Brown with Drake Maye...

...yeah, not a bad thing there.

It sounds like AJ Brown and Siriani just didn’t seem to mesh this year. I’m thinking he gets traded this offseason.

The ONLY way I would want him on the team is if he only cost a 3rd round pick when it comes to a trade. I have so much faith in Vrabel, that I think he could turn Brown’s attitude around to being a good teammate. He’s the ONLY coach I think can do it, especially since he coached him in Tennessee, and was against Tennessee trading him to Philly.

What are your thoughts ? Me personally I’d be a bit nervous, but I’d be ok with getting him for a 3rd round pick because of Vrabel.

Here is the number breakdown from Spotrac for if the Eagles traded Brown by the trade deadline. The 2026 numbers and beyond still apply. They are not bad for a legitimate #1 WR.

Hard to believe the eagles will pay 60 mill to not have a player

It’s an interesting concept that if Maye elevates all of his receivers, why waste premium resources on receivers when you can use them in players make can’t make better.

His value had to have dropped after this season, for a 3rd and change Hell yeah. I could be talked into a 2nd, but I have no interests in trading a 1 for AJ

That would still cost them 60 mill to not have him.
Why wouldn’t they just keep him?
Nope, 16.7 dead cap space this year if they cut him. Of course the whole idea of trading or cutting him is under the predicate that their differences are irreconcilable.

Yes & anybody saying otherwise is lying and/or will be a fan when/if gets here. Bookmark this..

Here come the dislikes in 3..2…1…..
You're like a broken fkn record, please come up with some new material.
You sound like the twins .

No, I have no desire to bring cancer into the locker room.

It is $43 million. That tweet was for if he was traded before the trade deadline. The $16 million was what they would have eaten for the 2025 season which is over.

But I get that $43 million is a massive amount to eat, but teams have eaten more like the Broncos with Russell Wilson. It all depends if the relationship has soured enough.

But I am still guessing a trade wouldn’t happen until after June 1 so the Eagles could spread out the cap hit over multiple years.

Would A.J. be willing to restructure?? 2028 and 2029 with Gonzo and Maye's extensions on the horizon. Seem like the Eagles signed themselves to a Poison pill contract with the Dead cap ramifications.

Thanks for pointing that out Rob: if they can spread out the dead cap anything is possible.

People were saying the same things with Diggs.

Brown loves Vrabel and I don’t remember him being that of a head case in Tennessee.

And with the season he had, you can probably get him for only a 2nd or a 3rd.

I think it’s a no brainer.

Like I said, i don’t remember him being a cancer in Tennessee and he loves Vrabel.

I don’t think he will be a cancer here.
