You guys know what time it is....

I'm looking for history to repeat itself.
The Patriots are undefeated when they play on January 11.

On the third play from scrimmage, Alfonzo Dennard stepped in front of a would-be-receiver and ripped it away, Tedy Bruschi style, setting up a 2-yard TD. That was the first on four Andrew Luck passes the Pats intercepted that day.

LeGarrette Blount took 27 snaps on offense. Of those 27 snaps he ran the ball 24 times (89%).
Despite this tipping of their hand, Blount ran for 166 yards (6.9 yards per carry), and four touchdowns.

Patriots Rushing: 46 attempts, 234 yards, six touchdowns
Colts Rushing: 21 attempts, 69 yards, zero touchdowns
Time of Possession: Patriots 35:00, Colts 25:00

Blount had more yards in one carry (a 73-yard TD) than the Colts had rushing in the entire game.

A year later the Colts made it one game further in the postseason, resulting in:

Skip to the 3 min mark if you want bypass the hype stuff. Tons of Maye and Brady passes...

The clips were great. The song (Patriots, Let's go) was FANTASTIC. Sounded like Aerosmith

The only thing that got "exposed" in Super Bowl 52 was Bill Belichick's mental illness.

If you don't understand, have a Patriots fan explain it to you.

.
I was just comparing the defenses in terms of looking better than they are.

They have a lot of old players like Khalil Mack and Keenan Allen coming off the books. And they only have 36 players under contract next year. Herbert's cap number next year is $46.3 million.

They only have two other players with a cap hit over $12.5 million. That is why they have so much cap room. Much of their best players are on rookie deals.

They have several defensive starters that are free agents next year that they are going to have to pay or replace like Mack, Teair Tart, and Odafe Oweh. Plus, they have some young players they are going to want to extend now that are going to be expensive like Tuli Tuipulotu.
People always forget to consider the "players under contract" figure when they talk about Cap Space. One should never be talked about without the other.

A few things I want to see tonight.

On offense:

1. Tempo - the use of the hurry up to create confusion, problems with substitution, and fatigue

2. Designed QB runs - good for creating an extra blocker on the run game. Forcing the Chargers to use a spy and take a man out of the rush and improving red zone efficiency.

3. On defense: use mixed D's For example, coverages that feature BOTH zone and man. like going 4 or 5 under man, with 2 deep in zone. That will get you tighter coverage in the middle and mid-range areas and help solve the TE issue.

4. use some zone/overload blitzes to create fast pressure while maintaining your coverages and only rushing 4

Not much to ask, even though I've been hoping to see this for most of the season and my dreams have been unrequited... so far.

The defense seems fraudulent and gives me 2017 vibes. The eye test all season said they were not that good. The stats said they weren't bad. Of course, SB 52 happened and they got exposed.
Pats defense wasn't very good that year, so they weren't hiding anything. If Jacksonville had a competent QB, the Pats would've taken a beatdown in the AFCCG. But since they advanced, Bill followed that up by taking his worst CB in Eric Rowe and lined him up against the Eagles best WR. That lasted two dives after Rowe quickly was responsible for 10 points. Pats also couldn't stop the run.

With all that said, Eagles got gifted calls on two TD's that day.

You really are a ray of sunshine. Have you ever thought of being a motivational speaker? Now that you have already started the flow of negativity I feel even better about tonight’s game.

There’s nothing wrong with negativity if there are any data points or facts to support. FCB02062 though is just a troll with no reasoning.

wish it would snow in Foxboro but we have not seen a snow game in awhile . I love those games , Brady was a master in them. Would be interesting to see how Drake would do in them. Plus a west coast team coming to the east in freezing temperature and a night game.....

I'd rather play San Diego w Boutte than not with Boutte. Yes? Hence, if he cannot play, they are ****ed. Terminally ****ed? We'll see. But taking away Mayes favorite deep target is not a positive circumstance

I read earlier this week that this crew flags the home team more often, and that this crew is a disadvantage for the pats. I didn't bother posting the article because i was sure that the topic would be discussed later in the week leading up to the game.
I also read that they call OL holding a lot - that should be good for us.

Ken, has there ever been a game when you haven't wanted to see that?

Can't even see your breath outside now. It's downright warm now and I'm close to the stadium

This is very encouraging for the future.

There’s no such thing as “partially ****ed” but I never met your dates.

He’s either a troll or he is incredibly unintelligent; like, should not be allowed to vote unintelligent. Either way, not sure why you guys don’t have him on ignore.
