Would he be able to come back??
To clarify: I'm not saying that will happen, just that it seems to me the most likely scenario (e.g., even if they wanted to, they can't release Munford yet).

In any case, he could come back after four games, and teams making the playoffs can activate two players off IR (plus any remaining DTRs they have from the regular season).

Do you expect Munford to be released at some point this season?

He was out of standard elevations.
It's not official, YET. You'll note that the article states that they INTEND to sign him. Not that they HAVE.

While @PATSYLICIOUS @PatsWickedPissah suggested it would be Chism getting the short straw, you are correct in that they could IR Jennings. He's have to miss 4 games, but if the Concussion is serious enough, which is may be, then that's certainly one possibility.

With the injury to Milt Williams and Landry supposedly ailing, it's unlikely the Pats will shed someone such as Gregory or Caleb Murphy. But they are possibilities since the Pats do have guys on the PS whom they could elevate in their place, such as Pharms, Fabian Lovett or Leonard Taylor.

RB will be a need this off-season when they cut Rham loose. Look for them to steal Breece Hall away from the Jets.

I don’t remember suggesting that Db, you might have meant to tag another P guy I don’t think there’s any chance chism gets waived tbh, they’ve held onto him this long for a reason

Not particularly; I'm just noting that they don't have tons of plausible options.

Rham isn't getting cut this off season. His cap his is 7.6M for 2026. His dead cap is 8M if cut. So it would cost more to cut him than keep him. He is not a locker room distraction. And While i don't love the player and believe we over paid him, assuming he doesn't fumble the ball, he is pretty good and worth an NFL roster spot for any team. Any trade would be bad too as we will get stuck eating a lot of the cap.

We could maybe trade him for a 7th just to get him off the books if a team is willing to eat his contract as is. If that is even allowed? But i don't think any team be willing to do that. He simply is not worth the contract. So the more we eat the higher the pick, which probably maxes out as a 5th if we eat all of it. Just a guess?

But i think no trade happens, we suck it up one more year and in 2027 when he is due 9.6M we cut him and take the 3.2M hit.

They need to at least sign a veteran during the off season to compliment what they have.

Gibson was a good third wheel this year.

Perhaps they go for broke and sign a B Hall while Stephenson becomes less involved.

Jennings to IR makes the most sense now.

Rahms carries are way down @ 101 and so is his YPC - 3.2.

It doesn't appear that he will reach 200 attempts this season. Oddly enough, Rahms last fumble was vs Buffalo. This game is a huge test for him. Vrabes and Mcdaniels value ball security. Hendo has 1 fumble and Ernie Johnson 2 fumbles over 7 seasons and 200 carries

Hall has a fumbling problem too.

2024 - 6 fumbles. Rahm won and had 7.
2025 - 3 fumbles each for Hall and Rahm.

I'm hoping for a Power RB via the draft to compliment Henderson's speed.
