We’re still doing this? Cmon man

I sometimes wonder if people like Bedard spew so much crap because it suits their agenda. I mean come on, who in their right mind would move Campbell from LT. Crazy

Tbh, dream debut as rookie year would have to be sony michel . 1100 yards in reg season and 350+ in post season with a super bowl ring .

At the end of his rookie season I am sure there were very few who were pissed off with sony michel.

Subsequent years and injuries and the growth of nick chubb changed our perspectives but if we were to take a unbiased view of rookie performance without considering future output. Sony needs to be top of the pack.

He did say he thinks Campbell can be a pro bowl LT. Was he saying they should move him to guard or just pointing out that would be his more natural position?

If that’s what he means I don’t think it’s an outrageous take unless he’s actually calling for it to happen.

I've tried watching some of his videos lately and MY GOD they are hard to get through. Good to know it's not just me.

Plus clean off your freakin desk.

I have noticed in the past that many players who had great sophomore or junior years then had duds as seniors end up being really good players in the NFL.

You can get some of these players cheap, Dan Marino, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Rodgers, and I would even say Drake Maye falls into this category. If he were a junior who put together that sophomore season, he would've been #1 in the draft.

I would look at some of the Penn State kids as having warts on them now because they underperformed.

The DE Dani-Sutton might fall to the 3rd round, but he was considered a 1st rounder going into the year.

We're not expecting Garrett Bolles LT ratings in his rookie season - but the fact of the matter is that they'll be looking for an upgrade at LG. As much as we respect the rookies taking care of Maye's blind side, Wilson's numbers aren't great and ideally you don't want any weak links anywhere on the OL.

The Broncos success and that of Nix comes by way of one of the best OLs in the league.

While I'd be open to free agent upgrades at LG, I'd be more willing to have them use one of their top picks on a lineman who can also play LT in case of a future Campbell injury. It's a lot cheaper to draft an LT or LG than sign one in free agency. After that, it's all about letting the players and coaches sort things out.

I've long contended that if Campbell is a Mankins-esque LG in the long term that will be well worth the high pick. I think he'll get better at LT but if they have a chance to secure a pro-bowl LT to protect Maye, I'm all for it even now.

How about sliding Campbell over to G and making Lowe the starting LT again in 2026?

If you roll the dice to replace Campbell at LT you’re more likely to get another Lowe than another Big Country.

Wilson is a Center playing out of position. Him replacing Bradbury next year, plus either a new LG (and RG because Onwenu isn’t anywhere near worth his $) would drastically improve the OL.

I’m also not opposed to shifting Campbell inside IF they can somehow luck into a really good LT. Keep in mind Moses will also likely need replacing due to age.

Still a ton of work to do on that OL next year to protect the franchise. Get Drake a top 5 OL and I’m telling you that kid will be a HOF.

Hint: That's what they just did.

As you note, there is instability at all 4 other positions. Why add more, when you lucked into a Pro Bowl caliber LT for the next 10 years?

It's the people who didn't believe in Campbell to begin with who are spewing this crap. They don't like the fact that they were sooooo wrong about him and are now trying to act like he belongs at guard, when he clearly doesn't. Campbell is going to end up being an All Pro left tackle, and the talk about replacing him with a " pro bowl left tackle" is complete nonsense. I have made the Pro Bowl 3 of the last 4 seasons, and even Mac Jones made the Pro Bowl. Anyone can make the Pro Bowl, it means absolutely nothing. And they don't answer the question of where they are going to get this great " pro bowl left tackle" because it won't be in free agency, and they aren't going to be picking at the top of the draft for years and years to come, which is the only place you can get a franchise left tackle. So what they are really talking about is turning a strength into a weakness , and trying to fix a problem that isn't a problem. What they should be doing instead is addressing the interior of their OL in both free agency and the draft, where you are far more likely to be able to fill those positions than you are by creating a need at left tackle that doesn't exist.
