LOL…they hate their QB

I remember Christian Fauria saying about Brady “women want to be with him, men want to be him”.

First time I heard that one.

Worked out well for Brady.

Maybe I didn't. I was just pointing out that with 11 wins.. any NFL team should have been able to clinch.. but the rules are the rules..
If a team is 11-0 after 11 games to clinch a playoff spot would mean 9 of the other 15 teams in the conference would have to be 4-7 or worse.

I think you are confusing not making the playoffs with 11 wins with not having clinched yet when you get to 11.

There are 10 AFC teams left with a chance to win 11 or more games.

Anyone else think Williams TD was super close to being out? His knee looked out and couldn’t tell if he got the second foot down before the knee went out.
I thought the same; it looked like the 2nd foot and knee hit the turf simultaneously.

Thankfully there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the call on the field.

Both Williams and Boutte had great TD catches last night!

Some thoughts (sorry if they are repetitive to other posters. I just didn't read every post in this thread).

- Last night seemed like a statement game that the Patriots were going to tell the world on a national stage that they are the team to beat in the AFC or even the NFL.
- For all the fears of Lowe replacing Campbell, I felt Lowe was solid last night. And McDaniels left him on an island for much of the time.
- Although red zone offense is an issue, I didn't think it was as big of a problem as people think last night. Most of the trips to the red zone last night were inconsequential and the Pats weren't trying.
- The Williams TD pass was incredible, but I think they gave him credit for possession of the ball with the first step when I don't think he had it. Probably should have been an incomplete pass. If the call on the field was an incomplete pass, it wouldn't have been overturned on replay if Vrabel challenged it.
- Of all the inactives last night, I was most worried about the loss of Tonga. With no Williams already, I thought that might be too much for the d-line to take. Credit back ups like Farmer and Durden for stepping up.
- Now that the secondary is finally clicking, the Pats need to blitz more. They were really effective throwing Dart off when they blitzed.
- I never really bought the idea that Mike Kafka was really auditioning for the permanent role as head coach because I think the Giants want to go for a more marquee selection. But if he was really getting audition for the permanent job last night, he lost any chance last night. You are 2-10 and you don't go for it on 4th and 1 with 1:13 to go in the half down by three TDs? Cowardly.
- I was one of the people who wanted the Pats to draft Abdul Carter. I am glad they weren't in a position to do so. There was a lot of talk about his maturity being an issue. So far, he hasn't proven that talk wrong. Whether he was benched for being late or the rumored he was watching porn in the meeting room, it is clear his lack of maturity has become an issue with the Giants.
I don’t think teams plan to make “statement” games. That would be a ridiculous overconfidence and deviation from mission.

What happened is we faced a team that we are much, much better than and dominated the game.

The porn thing was a parody account, a joke, not a rumor.

The foot you are referring to would have been the 3rd. The right foot was on the ground when he made the catch.

Not going to get into it tonight. But the first thing on my mind is the online has really turned around. It isn't perfect but they have some depth. When last year they didn't even have 5 guys. Lowe looked good for s back up.

I feel good about Brown as a depth piece moving forward. Lowe? Idk. Guess Bryant isn't ready for prime time yet as another vet took his game day spot.

I think we will be talking about how this online did a lot over the next 2 weeks
I think the Pats are specifically grooming Bryant at RT to be the heir apparent to Moses after next season.

It doesn’t look like they want to use him as a back up LT or swing OT.

I guess it would be asking too much to see him on offense again. 2 or 3 wheel routes.
100% no!
We don’t need him on O, we score plenty and have plenty of playmakers.
He already plays D and STs and is incredibly important to both.
Playing him on O is not not necessary, and would be ill advised.

Oh that wasn't directed at you...

The whining coming out of chicken wing town is music to my ears.
The 11-2 Patriots are frauds.
They had a creampuff schedule
They don't beat playoff teams
They get all the breaks from the refs.
Christian Elliss should be suspended

blah blah blah

I love it
This indicates they've gone from 'not caring' to 'terrified'.
