Chism is slow AF. Just watch his returns. He shows no "quickness" in and out of any cuts on his returns. Yes, different than running pass routes but if chism could help he'd be playing
Kick returns isn't the same as running routes!!

Which is why your 'elite' comment is patently ridiculous.

That's my 2. Tip your waitresses, try the veal.
A 10-2 team is elite. The argument that you must hold any evaluation until
After the season is over is what is patently ridiculous.
Sorry you lack the intellect to debate.

EWU kind of extends the “against guys who can’t make the nfl” point.
I’m not sure the statement that he can get open sooner is even accurate. I don’t think if you give him Diggs routes (or anyone rises) that he is running them better.
Tell that to Cooper Kupp who's records he broke. I'm just saying give him a chance it might give Maye quicker throws in a situation where Lowe may be his LT. Why is this so controversial? It seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Is your argument that since 1 player who played against weak competition turned out to be great that weak competition is irrelevant?

The counter to your argument is that if you give Maye lesser talents at WR in order to “see what they might be able to do” you make his job even harder. It’s not a fact that Chism running the routes instead of Diggs, Hollins, Boutte or Douglas means they get open more readily.
If it were the case he would be playing.

Also turning Maye into a dink and dunk qb and taking away his greatest strengths isn’t going to make us better.

I'm not sggesting that Chism should be in on every down and that the offense should be run through him for goodness sake. I'm saying maybe give him a chance. I don't know how many times I have to repeat that before it starts to sink in.

I don’t care if they’ve played the weakest schedule in the history of the NFL. Winning 10 out of 12 games and everyone on the road is quite the accomplishment. The team is much better than they are being given credit for by Cam and Smith. To win nine in a row, even against the worst teams in the league you have to be a pretty good team.

Lowe played pretty well today. He isn't a good player, but with better coaching than last year they might be able to coach him up and scheme to make him serviceable.

I think people vastly under rate the awful coaching's impact on the play of the o-line from 2022-2024.

I thought he did alright but he was definitely holding on a couple of plays and it could've easily been called.

Blink twice if you need help @Sam Bam Cunningham

There is an argument for using Chism more. Have that Edelman/Amendola thing of getting open very quickly. One issue with our WRs is that they take a bit of time to uncover.

The beauty about this team is, because the coaching is competent, we can confiedently say Chism has yet to do anything to suggest as much. I'd just trust that the coaching staff hasn't seen anything to merit him taking snaps on offense.

I wouldn’t say the team is elite (despite the record) but they’re good. I don’t think there are any elite teams in the AFC this season
Which means Chiefs win it by default, unfortunately.

Just hasn’t been a team to challenge them in the playoffs. Hope we’ll be in position to be that team next year. Just think this team is still a few pieces away from that.

Thankfully they pulled out the win today, because things definitely got tougher going forward.
You hope the only guy they’ll miss for the playoffs is Campbell which just seems season ending, but maybe the MRI will be surprisingly positive.
Hoping they can get everyone else back for the playoffs
If they can take care of the Giants and get to the bye week, they can regroup.
they still have incredibly high odds of making the playoffs, though the number one seed might be less likely now.

Let’s get in the playoffs and see what happens.

Maybe and I've acknowledged that by saying that I haven't seen what's happening in training. Again, for about the hundredth time I'm merely suggesting that he offers something no-one else really offers, that it's something which might help out in a situation where Maye may have less time to pass and that it's something that might be worth considering. I'm not suggesting he gets unlimited playing time, that anyone should be cut because of it or that he's the second coming of Julian Edelman. I just think it's worth consideration.

Feels like the Pats survived The 2nd Battle Of The Somme
Watch Pinky Blinders to see what a battle like the Somme does to its survivors.

I'm also talking about being a record breaker at EWU. It would just be nice to see what he could do. Of course I have no idea what he's like in practice. I'm just saying it would a possible way of counteracting the lesser time to pass that Maye might have if Campbell is out for the year.
Chism’s not seeing the field as a WR unless there are injuries to the WR corps.

And it looks like he lost his KR spot to Williams who looked much more explosive than Chism ever has.

He’ll probably be a game day healthy scratch for the rest of the season.

Nevermind Peaky Blinders, watch Blackadder Goes Forth. Those who know know. I'm being flippant, I haven't seen PB, just that the final episode of Blackadder is a great episode about the horrors of the Somme.

The negativity is a little much. The pats are 10-2 & have an 81% chance to finish at least 13-4 & a 46% chance to finish at least 14-3 according to the athletic playoff simulator. While Demontrey Jacobs was dead last in pass blocking metrics & the interior was a mess Lowe was functional as a pass blocker. He also has better coaching this year.

Going from an above average LT to a liability isn't ideal but it's not season ending. Get the 1 seed & it's two home games to the super bowl. This roster is flawed. That isn't news to anyone. They still have a good chance to make some noise this postseason.

Yeah I look around the AFC and keep asking myself who will beat them.
