GDT lived up to expectations. There was everything from death wishes to the season is over. Good stuff.
That makes this GDT - The Whiners Strike Back.

With each passing week, it seems that argument should have been left in the preseason with decades of training camp binkies.
Maybe but he hasn't had the chance. I understand why, but whenever Chism has been tested, he's done nothing but rise to the occasion. All I'm saying is that plays do take quite a long time to develop with our receivers and it would be nice to have that quick open option. I understand that means taking playing time away from, probably, Sir Trips-a-lot.

“If this 10-2 team could only beat the team they already beat and the 6-5 team maybe we can believe they are good”
New England Psychosis

They why go out of your way to make it a point to object to the 10-2 team being characterized as elite?
It’s ok for every comment to not be “rahh rahh patriots”. I’ve been pretty pro patriots in this thread bro

But he has only been tested against guys who weren’t good enough to be NFL players. That’s the issue.

There is an argument for using Chism more. Have that Edelman/Amendola thing of getting open very quickly. One issue with our WRs is that they take a bit of time to uncover.
Chism is slow AF. Just watch his returns. He shows no "quickness" in and out of any cuts on his returns. Yes, different than running pass routes but if chism could help he'd be playing

They beat Buffalo in Buffalo.

Other than a bad game 1 and a fluke of turnovers costing them a game when they otherwise thoroughly outplayed the Steelers, they have beaten everyone on the schedule.
Are you saying losing to “better” teams would make them more “elite”
Beating better teams make them more elite

I dunno man, those 20 yard kick returns showed me they didn't have any better options thanks to injury.

1 sack for 9 yards lost.
Sack yards count against the team, but not the QB. It's just the way they do it. [Just like how failed 4th downs don't count as "turnovers."]

I'm also talking about being a record breaker at EWU. It would just be nice to see what he could do. Of course I have no idea what he's like in practice. I'm just saying it would a possible way of counteracting the lesser time to pass that Maye might have if Campbell is out for the year.

It’s not saying every statement has to be positive, it’s recognizing that some people object to every statement that is positive.
You went out of your way to tamp down positivity. Why?

I think Chism is supposed to be great at getting open on routes. Not necessarily fast or quick. But I don’t remember what they said in camp very well.

Kick returns aren't quick outs and slants. Sure he doesn't have long speed but he does have a 6.77 3-cone and a 4.06 shuttle.
And he can't beat out 5 other players to get on the field.
Coaches see him every day. He was a healthy scratch today.

EWU kind of extends the “against guys who can’t make the nfl” point.
I’m not sure the statement that he can get open sooner is even accurate. I don’t think if you give him Diggs routes (or anyone rises) that he is running them better.
