Time to repent

Some others;
I wanted Travis Hunter
Was not high on Woodson
Thought Abdul Carter would tear up the league

One other I got right

Thought Tyler Warren would be an all world TE and wanted to consider drafting him at 3

I want to come clean: I've been saying I had a thread way back saying how good Boutte was. I finally looked back at the thread because I was gonna bump it to show how badass I am, and it turns out the thread was more like "hey uhhh I want Boutte to work out on this team, is there any hope?"

I'm a fraud.

I had them at 8/9 wins.
I was not that excited about the McD hire, but I didn’t hate it either.
I thought the oline would still be problematic this year.
I thought Henderson would shine right out of the gate. Not so much, but he obviously came around.

I haven’t enjoyed the Cowboys since Staubach.

They have been, to a degree, just not nearly as much as many of us feared.

Mine: I figured this team would make a strong push for the 6 or 7 seed, and Maye would solidify himself as a top 10 QB.

Was not a fan of the Hollins pickup. I thought we should just stick with Polk/Baker. Hollins is one of the best FA signings we've had in years in terms of production, leadership, and being an integral part of the new culture.

I don't make record predictions, but my expectations were far lower than what they are now. I thought it would end up being a great first step to being a contender again, but I thought they would be more of a borderline wild card team that may or may not have made the playoffs.

I did say Maye's ceiling was elite, but I wasn't sure if he ever was going to get there and certainly didn't expect it this year. Now I think his ceiling could be one of the best QBs of all time.

I wasn't crazy about the hirings of Vrabel or McDaniels. Didn't hate either one, but I thought there were better hires to be made.

I wanted an offensive minded head coach for Maye. I didn't know if Vrabel was the best for his development. Ben Johnson is doing a great job in Chicago, but Vrabel is doing more with far less talent except at the QB position. But Johnson is actually starting to beat some of Williams' biggest flaws out of him (and Williams' biggest flaws are monster sized).

I was weary of McDaniels because I didn't think his system was the best fit for Maye (still don't) and it would have been better to get an OC whose system was more tailored for Maye. McDaniels has changed his offense pretty well to suite Maye's strengths and I am not sure Maye would have developed as quickly under another coach.

One of the post-game shows asked, in all seriousness, "Does he even have a ceiling?"

I thought that Dan Marino would win a Super Bowl.
I thought that the Cowboys were really America's Team.
I thought that Ray Lewis was innocent.
You haven't been on here for such a long time i thought you might be dead.

This game was the most fascinating chess match on both sides of the ball.

Josh McDaniel’s winning move involved putting Dwayne Allen on the field and having him run go routes in that Hoss Y Juke package, because that was the only way to get them into base personnel. Allen had 3 receptions all year!

I’m sure if Wade Phillips had time to think about it, he’d tell his team to not even cover Allen and double Edelman and Gronk.

Fie to anyone who calls this game boring.

I wanted Membou at RT over Campbell at LT.... I'm happy to eat crow on that one
I thought the Bills were way better than they are and we'd be 9-8
Thought letting David Andrews go was a big mistake

I predicted I think 10-7. As i thought the team was being underrated and the schedule was weak. But i also said the ceiling of this team was high so doing 12-5 or even better wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
