As much as Shaheed would be exciting to get today - the reality is that Pats system does not allow for interchangeable WR's.
No WR could come in and learn the O and be serviceable during this year. Rice is a PS/depth guy to try to develop for next year.
And honestly, that's the type of deals we have to make at WR... because we just can't hit on a high round WR. And we'll probably have to wait until spring to maybe sign a good FA to bolster for next year.

Seahawks are rolling now at 6-2. Their WR1 is Jaxon-Smith Njigba. A guy I really wanted in the 2023 draft. Instead we drafted guys like Keion White.

Feels like we might do nothing at the trade deadline. We're just signing guys off other teams practice squads. Rice Jr. for WR and Saunders Jr. for safety.

Funny enough Sam Darnold is powering the Seahawks resurgence and is playing great this year. Looks like the Jets gave up too early on him. Can't believe they got rid of him and thought Zach Wilson was gonna be their savior.
