Ridley has a legitimate injury, and Simmons has been gutting through something since the Patriots game.

I mean, theoretically. He's 30, but he's making nothing, even his contract next year is like 5 million.
There's certainly worse options out there.

On the “Drake could take less than market to leave some for others to make the team better” line of thinking:

I suspect Drake would but the NFLPA raised HELL with TB12 for doing that back in the day. I don’t know that they could outright prevent it, but I do suspect they could put a lot of pressure on him not to do it.

Also…**** unions in general. NFLPA is why the first 6 weeks of the season are generally a trash product. They can’t friggin practice barely.

Full disclosure, as an owner of multiple businesses I have had nothing but awful experiences dealing with any kind of union.

I literally won’t even take a call from any vendor who is in a union of any kind.

Regarding following up on the 25’ offseason, one of the draftniks here said that 26’ will be similar to 25’ regarding depth.

Those two 6th rounders the Pats just acquired could turn into useful assets if that is the case, and look at Miles Garrett’s effusive praise of Drake after the game.

With Drake and this coaching staff, the Pats are going to be a desirable destination for FAs and have the cap space to make some noise.

I agree with that. Once again the top 10 won't be loaded with guys teams " have to have," but the overall draft is going to be similar to the last one, plenty f good players can be had, you just have to have the patience to develop them, and Vrabel has that patience.

They need depth at DE and Landry has been dealing with an ankle injury.

Landry’s leg got dinged up a game ago, he also had a sack the week before last… that’s not invisible.

Landry currently has 6 sacks, Chaisson has 5, Crosby has 4… why do we need Crosby again?
