Are people going to be upset if the Patriots don't end up making any additions by trade by the deadline?

Yes, which was one play and did not account for his play the entire game.First play of the Saints game.
This fan isn't, as no idea who is available at what price. Are people going to be upset if the Patriots don't end up making any additions by trade by the deadline?
Ummmm, yes I do.Yes, which was one play and did not account for his play the entire game.
ummmmm..you know that 1 play does not account for the entire game
I see you also gave absolutely nothing to back up your claim he didn’t okay week, diverting to complain about PFF.I don't take PFF seriously. Never did. You can check my history on it. They are horrible especially when they assign blame on things like giving up completions. Many times they just assign it to the guy closest to the receiver even if they weren't at fault.
Again, this trade showed what the coaching staff felt about how well Dugger played. They thought he was a liability. Otherwise they wouldn't have traded them. I will take their judgement over PFF.
And again, who says this makes the team weaker? And even if it is, we are talking about a back up safety who barely plays. You are acting like they traded the Dugger from 2023. He is no longer that guy. This was a nothing move that you are acting like will sink this team. Fact is whether this trade is good or bad, the team is basically the same team it was before the Dugger trade.
Yeah, I just don't think it's as guaranteed as some others here seem to think it.This fan isn't, as no idea who is available at what price.
In the past couple of years would be skeptical, but now much less so.
I’m talking about whether it was a mistake, not whether they realized it was a mistakeLOL! There were reports that they were actually trying to see if they could trade him before the season and they finally trade him last night and literally minutes later (not hours, not days, but literally minutes) have sellers' regret and desperately scan other team's practice squads for a replacement? You really believe that? They were so desperate to trade him that they were willing to eat most of this years salary and the immediately after they traded him realized they made a huge mistake? That is your argument?
And the Dolphins' safety room is not remarkable, but deep. They some decent depth. They aren't world beaters, but it is deep position for them.
And who cares where the back up safety was drafted. You are talking back ups at one of the most devalued positions on the team. Guys like Julian Edelman were UDFAs. Where you are drafted only counts for so much after you are drafted.
You might not want to admonish people about thinking before posting when you make arguments like this.
After he got tourched by Olave, he ended up playing like 15 snaps the rest of his Patriots career.I see you also gave absolutely nothing to back up your claim he didn’t okay week, diverting to complain about PFF.
You realize your argument about whether the patriots made a bad move or not amounts to “The Patriots did it, that proves it was good” right?
He played most all of the snaps in 2 of our 6 wins. Thats not barely playing.

The honesty is refreshing.
That is not true. After he was hung out to dry being left on an island with a WR1 he proceeded to play 100% of the snaps in that game, and the next one before missing last weeks game with an injury. After he got tourched by Olave, he ended up playing like 15 snaps the rest of his Patriots career.
That is barely playing.
Show me bad plays other than the one he was left on an island with a WR1.You're the only person here saying "Dugger was playing well, actually".
The only person *anywhere* that I can see.

Nice try though.
You seem to be confused.I have the fact the Patriots traded Dugger for next to nothing and ate most of his salary to back up my claim. You don't need PFF's subjective stats to know how well the coaching staff thought he played.
And how much did he play in games where Hawkins was active and healthy. He only played when they had to to play him.
I am tired of arguing with you. The Patriots traded away a mediocre back up safety who used to be a good starter two years ago. It was a nothing move made larger because the player used to be good and has a large contract. Otherwise, it is a minor trade of little significance. Doesn't deserve this much discussion.
You seem to be confused.
We aren’t discussing what the team thought, we are discussing whether they were right or not.
You keep arguing the patriots made the right move because the patriots think they did.
Every backup plays only when they need to.
You haven’t argued with me, you have just stated over and over that it must be right because they did it.
Arguing requires critical thinking, you e exhibited none.
Yes to both as long as Vrabel feels like it wouldn't mess with the team chemistry. If you were the Pats brain trust, would you trade your 2026 1st rounder for AJ Brown + PHI's 2026 3rd rounder?
Would you trade your 2026 2nd rounder for Jordan Addison, straight up?
