Layered over one defender and short of the other. This is a special throw:

If he's hitting the Cover-2 hole shots along with beating man coverage like he has been, other teams are going to be in big trouble for a long, long time.. They'll have to play mostly cover-3 and cover-4, and leave the running game wide open.

Hope so! James White was buried his rookie year.
I agree.

The issue is that we need a #2 RB to share time with Stevenson. We have our #1, and our situational/#3 RB.

WTF happened in the Broncos game? The Giants were up 19-0 after 3Qs and lost 33-32?

How long will the Giants have to blow to get rid of Daboll?
The loss was 100% Daboll. He needed to run down the clock. He called a run, a run and a PASS. Dart passed and was intercepted. If Dart were a seasoned veteran, he would have ignored the coach and taken a sack and won the game.

Where is that clown Merrill Hodges? I'd love to hear what he has to say about Maye now. He was the biggest "Maye will be a bust" chanter around.
Yeah he got that one wrong. We really gotta stop doing this though. Part of why we don’t get any actual analysis from anyone in the media is because if you actually take a stance on anything then people are just gonna throw it in your face and torment you over it.

Hodges thought Maye was a bad prospect. He was wrong. It’s ok. No need to take it personal as a Maye fan or try to hold it over him forever because that’s how you dissuade anyone in the media from actually making an honest assessment of anything and giving us some actual insight to follow.

Hey everybody…I’ve been away for a while. Can one of you explain WTF IS WITH THIS “TOURCH”??!!!

Yours in humble gratitude,
patchick
Its when you go to church, its like jeet yet(ya eat yet), Wongo (want to go)? LMAO

maybe it already has. Remember, he was a first round pick for a reason.

I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't "the real Daniel Jones" at this point, and the only reason we never got to see it eariler is because of how bad the Giants suck at turning talent into success..

Remember, for most of his time on the Giants he was trying to carry teams that not even Eli could move the needle for. Dave Gettelman had an eye for talent, even if he couldn't build rosters around it. that's evidenced by the number of guys he drafted who went on to thrive in other markets.

While Jones' value probably isn't quite as high as it looks right now, it's pretty clear at this point that he's nowhere near as BAD as we thought based on his time on the dysfunctional Giants either. The truth is in the middle.

One thing is clear, Jones has 3 picks all year and 1 of them was in a desperation situation where you want your QB making high risk attempts. That's nothing. He's not making anywhere near the level of mistakes he made in the past, and he has the protection he never had in NYG. The causal link between these two facts is pretty obvious.

People can hold onto "the real Daniel Jones" if they want to, but it's clear that he's in a situation now where he can do a lot less surviving and a lot more thriving, and I don't think it's useful to hold the past against the guy.

Also the "indy were just as bad" line is patently untrue. Indy missed the playoffs by 1 game. We missed the #1 overall pick by one game. We are not the same.
I disagree that it's not true. Did you watch any patriots games last season? If you did then you should remember that Anthony Richardson was the QB and bear us.. he was thier top draft choice.. also do you remember the list of QBs indy has gone through? They settled on Jones as a depth QB camp competition player not for him to be a savior. He's playing well and doing what he asked. I don't believe in Daniel Jones neither did the giants who paid him.

Did Jones play with Barkley? Did he have a top wr last season in NYG?

Jones was able to muster up one decent season and got a contract because of it. Jonathan Taylor is the guy there take him away and put the ball in Daniel Jones hands and your asking for trouble. Not sure why you're high on Daniel Jones.. as I said I give him credit. But the postseason is a different beast.

Colts offense is operating at a historic pace under Daniel Jones. In terms of points per drive they are outscoring the 2007 Patriots offense which is insane. Looks like he just needed the right situation to succeed. What a turnaround for his career!

When Jones was in NYG, he had the worst offensive line in the league. It's not a situation that allows a player like him to showcase his talent. Before this year we had no idea what Jones could do when playing for a competent organization, because he didn't play for one.

Let's not forget who the last Giants QB to win a playoff game was. There's talent there, and there always was.

It's the easy (LAZY!!!!!!) answer to blame the quarterback for anything that goes wrong on a team. Ultimately the kind of person Jones is was just a bad fit for an East Coast team. you want an exciting personality to be your guy under center, a headline grabber, and Jones is about as exciting as oatmeal. Put him in a more laid back market in the midwest with a less rabid media, and put a good organization around him that knows how to support their QB, and we finally get our first chance to see what the guy can really do.

Oh, and for the record, Anthony Richardson didn't beat us. the Colts as an organization beat us. They carried literally the worst starting quarterback in the NFL to several wins that year that he didn't deserve. that should tell you what their upside was once they replaced that guy with a guy with much more experience and above average levels of talent.

The WR out wide was that Diggs or Boutte?? Looks Open on the slant or in cut... defenders don't have a play.
Diggs is at the top and as he makes the in cut the defender fell down so he got open.
The first read was DD who was also open. Maye was throwing before Diggs even made is cut.

I have no idea why you bothered to post that link. Does this Colts team LOOK like it's tanking? A speculation piece that was posted before the Colts played a single regular season snap? That's what matters to you right now over the evidence of your own eyes?

What exactly is your point? That Jones had several years on the strugglebus while playing for a terrible organization? Full granted. but I end up right back at my original question, what exactly is your point?

I have no idea why you bothered to post that link. First of all, it's a speculation piece with little to know factual basis. Second, it's months out of date and completely ignores the current reality on the ground. Finally, it was posted before anyone had any actual idea how Jones would look on his current team.

What exactly is your point? That Jones had several years on the strugglebus while playing for a terrible organization? Full granted. but I end up right back at my original question, what exactly is your point?
What exactly is your point? Your on a Patriots forum but are you a Daniel Jones fan? Or a Colts fan? I can't get a read on exactly what team you root for? I mean my post are pretty clear.. and I posted reports on Daniel Jones and on indy.. you can go to Google and do the same, but it's ok if you choose to believe whatever you want to believe that's your opinion as poster.

OK. And you're still not articulating anything resembling a comprehensible point.

Use your words, not a bunch of news articles that are out of date by multiple months
My words don't seem to be getting through to your cerebellum so I posted articles that may be able to help you... but they say people in denial have to want the help.. so I don't know.. I'm just a poster.

The only real point I'm gleaning from you is that you're stuck in the past. Your examples would make some objective sense if Jones was still playing for the Giants, but since he isn't, these fluff articles are ultimately useless.

It's not hard to figure out that the Jones-era giants was a train wreck and a certain regression to the mean is expected if Jones is playing for an average organization rather than a terrible one.

Throw in the obvious advantage given to players once they begin to regain their confidence in themselves and their teammates, and the rest isn't hard to put together.

Let me be clear because it seems this is getting overblown. The initial post started out about indy and if we saw them in the playoffs... then it's becoming a Daniel Jones/ Colts excuse making. Colts are playing well and they have suprised the league. No one is taking anything away from them. Simply saying the playoffs are a different beast. I will die on this hill.. I don't believe in Daniel Jones.. that's my opinion based on what I have seen from him over the course of his career. That's all I'm saying. I'm giving him his props for playing well but we'll see come post season..

You think you're saying that Jones is what he is.

What I'm hearing from you is that Jones is what he used to be.

That's the distinction I'm struggling with. He clearly is not what he used to be. The difference in confidence, consistency and efficiency is palpable, and that's fact rather than opinion.

We'll see who's right in January.
