I don't think that's right. Williams ran a 4.40 forty, I think Olave was clocked at around 4.25. Though they tend to use Shaheed as their "speed" guy, so not sure if that forty time has necessarily translated to the field.
From some reason I don't see Chris Olave that fast. Looking at Kyle Williams tapes PreDraft I thought he was one of the fastest Players with the Pads on. I guarantee you when He and Maye finally connects on a deep one; the Defender will have to eat his dust.

I was listening to White talk about his no nonsense approach. No frills. Run through someone. I dont think he has enough creativity to be truly impactful. Everyone in the L is a beast. Hard to just overpower people at this level. You have to be sneaky. Thats not White.
Agreed. White is a bull rush type of athlete he's a great athlete but as you mentioned doesn't have the tool bag to be creative to set up OG and OTs.. I was hoping with a rotational role he could be effective. He's not.. basically a JAG at this point.

I was wondering too, Gonzo seams to have gone off the boil, perhaps deep down he is still worried about his injury.
Yes, he seems tentative at times.. I wanted to wait a few games to really make a judgment..but there no excuse for backup wrs to be making plays on him.. he's still a great player of course..however I don't believe he nor Davis have been as we anticipated.

It does matter how he got the concussions. If he is getting concussions because his QB is throwing him hospital balls, then he is far less likely get a concussion if he has a QB who doesn't put him in dangerous situations.

Yes, he is more likely to have a serious concussion if he gets another concussion than other players, but the way Maye is playing, he doesn't put his receivers in position to take unnecessary shots to the head. And Olave isn't a WR who lives on running in traffic over the middle.

He isn't a RB or a LB or QB who either hits a lot or gets hit a lot hitting head on. As X WR, he is usually going out of bounds or getting pulled down from behind and not getting hit with a guy coming at him full speed. It happens, but far less than other positions. I think it is less of a concern for him than other positions.

In all reality, we probably should be more concerned about the concussions that Maye has been getting than Olave's concussions if the Pats traded for him. Maye plays a position and plays a style that will open him to far more chances for more concussions.

And I don't think Olave will command that much in a trade. Maybe a second rounder at most. And Olave has his fifth year option.

But then again, I am not sure if I even want them to trade for Olave. I just don't think the concussions could be as big of a concern as people make them.
The thing I asked myself is do we really need another receiver at this juncture?

It never hurts a team to add talent. I'm not against it. I'm 100% confident whoever Vrabel decided to bring in will be properly vetted and not disrupt the culture. That player will be part of the program.

Saw that kinda disturbing...it's like Maye is turning Tarzan Mack Hollins into a player to my surprise. Williams was very accomplished coming out he checked all the Boxes. He needs to start showcasing those abilities.
Hollins was amazing yesterday. And he is an amazing blocker and teammate. 6'4" - WOW. Hollins should be your favorite binky.

I would add kr to that trade list, its worth a spot on the roster with the new rules. You need to have 2 guys back there capable of taking it to the house(im assuming Henderson gets back in at one spot eventually). it will factor in at some point if we can’t make plays on kr (might’ve lost in miami)

We may have had some unrealistic hopes for Henderson and K. Williams this season. Hopefully with a full season and off season in the pros they can really start to tap into thier potential next season.. I don't see or feel it happening this year..

Losing gibby has really hurt on STs..

Do we win the Miami game without him in that moment? Maybe not. As we go towards a playoff run every play counts and games can change completely on one return. I like chism overall but he doesn’t look like a kr to me. Maybe a pr if marcus gets hurt.

Totally forgot Drake Maye and Tarzan Hollins have the same alma mater. Tarzan is becoming that X that just won't go away.

What if the choices available are too good to pass up?? Jakobi Meyers Familiarity with McDaniels Offense - Chris Olave Instant star with Maye and Rashid Shaheed Instant X-WR. That said Chris Olave is one of the best Young WR's in this league when healthy: he's on pace again for over 1000yds. I would just hate to imagine him with Drake Maye.

This is such a clownshow post at this point.

Yes, if the Patriots just add another wide receiver, two of which wouldn't actually beat out anyone on the field right now, they'd never lose again.

Jakobi Meyers has 12 catches for 101 yards on 18 targets in his last 3 games. Mack Hollins has better production than that.

It takes time. Look at Boutte as an example.

Every pass to Williams is incomplete. Can't understand that.
They just can't seem to get on the same page. With the way Maye is spreading the ball around to everyone else it makes me think it is more of a Kyle Williams problem than a Maye problem. Not super worried yet as Evan Lazar has said multiple times watching the all-22 Williams is getting open but the connection just isn't there yet.
