Patriots need to get more out of Henderson

Some outside runs would be nice i don't think he's a guy you want to just run dives up the middle with, i also bizarrely think that Stevensons fumbles have got him overly concerned with ball security.

These guys are missing holes cause they're running with 2 hands on the ball terrified of fumbling.
The only issue is all outside runs have to go to the left, and the defense will adjust to that quickly, any defense.

Onwenu and Moses are incapable of getting out on outside runs.

Totally agree. I haven't gone back and re-watched the game but I saw Moses get handled a couple times with ease. He looks old and slow and I would be surprised if he gets through the season. I love the guy and his attitude but I think he needs to hang up his cleats. They will need to rebuild that right side next year if not sooner.

Dude, that’s why I’ve been staring time and time again that our run O is our biggest weakness, and needs to get better….FAST!
Can’t put it all in Maye’s shoulders every week.
You are right OL is still our biggest weakness

No RB will be able to run behind this dogshit line.

They need to figure things out because these guys can’t run block for sh…
Well said

Bryant IMO is the guy being developed to take over at RT..

They will definitely draft a OT in the early rounds next year. Maybe he will start at RT... or be a backup. Either way we need more high-end talent there that's younger.

Agreed with you. I mentioned Bryant as he was said to have had a great camp and preseason and I think he'd likely be give the nod should Moses go down..

100% correct.
But 2001 Brady was not even remotely the player he later became.
He had 579 yds in his 3 postseason games that year, 193 yds/game.
He had 1 TD and 1 INT combined in those 3 games….thats right, 1 TD in 3 games.
He had 145 yds in the SB and lead the offense to 13 points.
He did not lift the WRs up and carry the team on his shoulders, he simply didn’t.
To argue we won that SB with average WRs because Brady elevated their play is simply incorrect.
He is the best QB of all time, but that’s not what he was in 2001, no matter how you try to slice it.
I agree. He was gifted with a great defense in his early years and his weapons were better later.
By all accounts, he elevated all the players he played with.

I hope he is getting game ready. We are a third of the way into the season and Moses looks to be fading fast.
Agreed there. Moses has been a great veteran presence and even if he remains here in a reserve role it's beneficial to the team. I'm thinking Bryant is the first man up.

With Henderson, I feel like I’m seeing one thing I’ve seen with just about every rookie RB in the McDaniel/Belichick years: a reluctance to make a spontaneous cut. My sense is they are taught to run the plays as drawn, go right to the intended hole and only the intended hole until you learn the offense.

Sadly, I feel that next year, more likely than not, they will draft another... Guard... in the early rounds before they draft an OT this time.

Why would you think that?
We have the majority of this year still to play, assessments of what we have in-house could change.
We still have trades that could happen this year.
We have FA ahead of the draft.
Little early to talk about what will draft in the early rds next year.
And, if OG is a big need when the draft comes around, why is drafting one in the early rds a bad idea?
We could be picking in the 20s, maybe early, maybe late, hell we could even pick in the 30s.
Chances of getting a great OG in that spot are much higher than a great OT.

They need another guard, probably 2, and another tackle. I don't care when they draft them if they can play.
Although I think Bryant can play a little bit, we'll see.

It must be because of arm length or wingspan!

I was simply responding to Zuma's post about drafting an OT in the early rounds, which I'm ass-uming are within the top 125 thereabouts... I find that unlikely, given Campbell's entrenchment at LT and Bryant seemingly the heir apparent at RT... The Guard play, OTOH, has been overall unsatisfactory and in need of up-grading at 2/3 positions, at least. What's sad is the draft capital already spent on the IOL between 2020-24 with only Onemenu to show for it; the New boss has already used one early-round pick in an attempt to rectify the situation, and it wouldn't shock to see them use another before one is used on OT next year...

Most important position is QB, and sure looks like we got a good one. If we can be even a middle of the pack running team next year this offense would be incredibly hard to stop. If it takes a lineman or 2 in the draft to do that, I would be absolutely fine with that. I like our pass catchers, if Diggs can remain productive into next year and we can get Williams to progress, I really don't see that as a huge need. Edge, Safety, CB, young TE and LB would be on the list too. Sucks that we missed badly on Robinson and Wallace, but those are sunk costs unfortunately.

Rookie....

Was our line so great in 2018 that sony michel had a phenomenal run as a rookie .

Or is the line so absymal that they cannot allow even 100 yards rushing as a committee per game ?
I remember watching those games and seeing huge holes everywhere. Plug any RB in that spot and they still succeed imo.
