After 6/1, any future cap hits accelerate to the next season. In other words, all the future dead money would hit their 2026 cap, not this year's cap. OTC has the Iggles' cap space going up slightly if they trade him.The immediate cap problem is on Philly's side. The long-term cap problem is on our side.
I'm no capologist but my understanding is that if they move him they take an immediate $10.7M cap hit for his currently pro-rated bonus, and they only have $11.6M in space for the rest of the year which is not enough to run the team for the rest of the season.
