AFC East Division Race (10/13 - Patriots Now on Top After Bills Loss)

The immediate cap problem is on Philly's side. The long-term cap problem is on our side.

I'm no capologist but my understanding is that if they move him they take an immediate $10.7M cap hit for his currently pro-rated bonus, and they only have $11.6M in space for the rest of the year which is not enough to run the team for the rest of the season.
After 6/1, any future cap hits accelerate to the next season. In other words, all the future dead money would hit their 2026 cap, not this year's cap. OTC has the Iggles' cap space going up slightly if they trade him.

Hello my darling, hello my honey, hello my rag time gal...or whatever it was lol

Teams with big contract QBs are looking very vulnerable right now, mostly due to injury riddled rosters and lack of quality depth.
And that's all around the League. IF you are not hitting on Draft picks like we're quite familiar with: BB later years and Mayo's one year. Your Team will $h!t Bricks.

Twin: I don't think the Bills have what it takes to get him. They have some cap Issues.
I know twin.. I just don't want them to try to make a maneuver to get him and we end up losing out and have to see him with MVP Allen instead of future MVP maye daye..

I think we have as good a chance to get him as anybody. And we have Players to throw in the Deal: we could throw in either Pop Douglas or Kyle Williams to sweeten the deal.

I would like to keep and develop K. Williams twin.. k. Williams, Diggs, AJ & Boutte is a nice wr group next season..

Yes, let's trade two receivers on their rookie contracts for a guy making 30 million a year.

He has 25 catches for 271 yards in 6 games.
Basically, that's Boutte's production.

I thought I recalled that the questions around Mac were still there because the Pats won by having him only throw three times. That game raised more questions.

That said, it's nice to be on top again, whatever month it is.
It was an interesting time because 8-4 Pats had also just beaten the 8-4 Vrabel Titans (no Henry but TEN had 270 rushing yds).

Mac was 23/32 310yds, 2TDs, 0INTs, 0Fmb, against them and after the Bills game had won 7 straight. The no throwing was BB being BB.

Based on remaining schedule, the Bills have a tougher hill to climb than we do.

Heck - we might even be able to challenge Pittsburgh for the bye week.

In my worst case scenario, where they lose the games they probably should lose and fail to win one or two they should win, they still have an additional 6 wins - hence they have a 87% chance of making the playoffs, with only the Steelers in a better place.

Right, having your STAR QB BEFORE he makes his first big contract is the 'sweet spot'.

The funny thing is that the radio hosts in Buffalo said -- just 8 days ago -- that after the Bills beat the Patriots, they'll have a 4 game lead (effectively, counting head to head) in the division, and that they could start celebrating the division title later in the afternoon.
I wonder what they are saying now? I’m sure they are blaming someone.

What makes this really important is that now the Patriots will be playing in meaningful games for the rest of the season. Whether they win the division or not they are going to get to experience the pressures that go with being in a divisional race, and hopefully a playoff spot and the pressure of playing in the playoffs. This puts them at least a year ahead of schedule in their development, and that's a really big deal.

Pats are in the drivers seat

Buffalo ****ed up not trading for Metcalf. have to imagine they’ll be trying to get someone like AJ Brown or Olave before the deadline
Are they gonna stop the run for Buff
