who gives a good crap who is "leading the division in the middle of god-damned October.
Come on Ken. You know you do. Don't get so smart you can enjoy a minute of tribal bliss when it feels and looks like "that moment." It's fun to look back in 3 years and know it for sure but risk a little disappointment and believe it's happening so you can say "It's happening now!"

Wondering when was the last time Buffalo was not atop the AFCE standings?
Are we talking about any point in the season or at least 6 games into the season? I'm going to guess late in 1996 is when it started and they went on their drought until 2020.

?

This is a process man, you gotta enjoy it all.

All the stuff that happened up until now.. First night in years the Patriots sit atop the AFCE from a legit vantage point.

Next step - hold the division lead

Following step - win the division

Playoff seeding, match ups etc and so on

Will it happen who knows, but you gotta enjoy the good moments when they come, you're a fan cmon it's fun!

Hey from this day in Patsfans history or something, I just saw a link to a thread: "Are the Patriots too Old?" 2002

Let get a ......Woooo!

I absolutely love the feeling of being on top (the bottom ain’t too bad either sometimes) but still expect this to be a dog fight with Buffalo the whole way. They have significant flaws but so do we. With how the run game has looked and the defense for significant stretches, if Drake has a bad game it’s a game we likely lose even against a bad team. But, if McD can find a way to get more out of the run game and/or the OL figures it out, and if we stay relatively healthy on D, I like our chances. LFG.

This is the NFL that stands for Not -For-Long.

According to playoffstatus.com, here's what happened to the odds for the Pats and Bills:

Bills:
Division win (1-4 seeds): 41% → 31%
Wild card (5-7): 32% → 31%
No playoffs: 28% → 37%

Patriots:
Division win: 58%(!) → 65%
Wild card: 23% → 18%
No playoffs: 18% → 17%

Before the Bills game:

After:

Pats are in the drivers seat

Buffalo ****ed up not trading for Metcalf. have to imagine they’ll be trying to get someone like AJ Brown or Olave before the deadline

The world is back on its axis. All is right again. The Patriots are back in front.
We've been here before.. most recently 2021 the fake rebuild. Let's hope we can continue to win and position ourselves. Bills were down some guys.. but they are still a factor in the AFCE.

If they get AJ and we don't it's a ****ing travesty.. we have a **** load of cap space more than Buffalo.. I like the way our passing game is playing but we mustn't kid ourselves to thinking we don't need more.

Time for the regulars to go scour the Bills’ fan sites ?
