AFC East Division Race (10/13 - Patriots Now on Top After Bills Loss)

I don't know how the Bills fans bear it..

Wondering when was the last time Buffalo was not atop the AFCE standings?

Don't lay an egg in the next 2 games, get to 6-2 then we can have serious conversations about winning the division.
I'm sorry, but it's our division to lose. Tell that slop to Buffalo. Yes, we have to win it every week. But it's in our boys' hands for the first time since 2019, and I want another vice grip on the division to begin now and be maintained next week. Then the next week. And so on.

The funny thing is that the radio hosts in Buffalo said -- just 8 days ago -- that after the Bills beat the Patriots, they'll have a 4 game lead (effectively, counting head to head) in the division, and that they could start celebrating the division title later in the afternoon.

….And for our next trick, first place in the AFC…………

I did not watch the game today. I just checked the score while sitting next to my wife and it took a few seconds to register.

It went something like this. Oh, Bills lost today. Wait, they are 4-2 so we are tied with them. So, we are tied for first. Wait, we beat them so we are actually leading the division. I jumped up as I said the last part. A bit embarrassing lol!

It has been four long years since we were in first place in the division but we are back. We are winning the AFC East and are set up to make a deep playoff run. The rest of the league has been put on notice. The pats are back.

Tried with AI but no dice.. Anyone good with photoshop wanna replace mac's head with Drakes?

Now, that would be now. As in on this very day. And you know somewhere in misbegotten (quite possibly the original Seneca name for the region) upstate NY the cold reality that NE is rising and their team is stumbling has tens of thousands screaming "NO!!! NOT THE PATS! NOT AGAIN" into their pillows. It may not take all that long before the Bills mafia is once again back to being half a dozen slobs wearing sausage grease stained Bills jerseys in a '90 Winnebago.

Diggs looking like a credible #1 WR in year 1 back from that injury at his age is pretty miraculous really. That’s not at all normal.

Maye looks like an elite QB. Not just someone who has potential - an elite QB right now.

Campbell not only looks like a franchise LT, he looks like one NOW. It was one thing to think he could be that, but doing it day one as a rookie outpaces even aggressive expectations for him.

If those three things hold true all year, then the trajectory of this team. Entering the year, Maye and Campbell, while good prospects, didn’t look at a point on their career arc where they’d be pro bowl/all pro type players yet and Diggs couldn’t have been expected to play up to his usual level right away. But they’ve flipped the three most important offensive positions from not good enough to win to legitimate high end/elite play.
