Mmmmmmmm tasty.Sprinkle in a little AJ to go with it..
Same could be said for Moss, Diggs, and others. For some reason there seems to be a disconnect with AJ in that offense. A guy who was a die hard patiots fan wanted to be drafted here, close relationship with Vrabel.. hoping the stars align. Just my wish...I'm withholding my endorsement on that, because I want to see how his situation plays out the rest of the season. He's done a lot of things the last couple of years that I wouldn't necessarily want on a young team.
I know.. I really think he's the guy that we need aside from Diggs. Still young and relationship with Vrabel.Lol ive already gotten my hopes up about him enough times.

I know... it's a large number...*AJ Brown's dead cap hit has entered the chat*

Moss did not join a young team where his powerful personality would have great influence on younger players. He joined a well established dynasty that influenced him positively for a couple of years before he started to regress. So totally not comparable to what Tommy is saying.Same could be said for Moss, Diggs, and others. For some reason there seems to be a disconnect with AJ in that offense. Moss had concerns prior to him coming here at Minnesota and raiders.. like Diggs, and Tommy was referring to the idea of AJ Brown coming here and the concerns similarly to that of Diggs and moss to that degree is what I used in comparison.Moss did not join a young team where his powerful personality would have great influence on younger players. He looked super quick this Sunday. I was surprised. He still has the ability to be a top WR.Keenan Allen is still producing . So that means we get 3 more years of Diggs .
Hope we get another couple more from Henry too.
Any decent wr2 that we can sign who can stretch the field . Williams what is happening . At least should have made 1 wow play by now.
Gotta be honest I think we already have the guy and he will be getting more opportunities as the season goes. Williams was open a lot vs Buffalo.Patriots need a deep threat receiver to take the top off of defenses. Probably in the draft. Diggs might be good for another year or so.

I do not have that answer other than the 2 plays I referenced above. That would be a question for Drake MayeOK
So, why wasn't he targeted?
I don't think it's a talent issue or even an issue with what he has shown to this point. I think Vrabel's primary focus right now is building a culture with certain vets at its foundation. I think Boutte is one of those. I think much to everyone's confusion, Pop is also one of those guys. Once the cultural foundation is established, once everyone on this team is bought in and believes in it, talent from the rest of the roster will get sprinkled in more. Williams' time will come and he'll be ready when it does.KW is off the grid: can't find him with a search warrant. I thought he was a little more accomplished.
Moreover, 2007 was a sui generis year where Belichick figuratively ran screaming from the draft. He traded their second first-rounder into 2008, their second for Welker, their third for a third the next year, and a fourth for Moss. He still ended up having to draft eight players in rounds 4-7, and none of them made it to the end of the year.Moss did not join a young team where his powerful personality would have great influence on younger players. 2007 was a truly GREAT draft. I see no reason for whining because the late rounders didn't work out (including 4th rounder Brown. Moreover, 2007 was a sui generis year where Belichick figuratively ran screaming from the draft. It really wasn't though. Pats had 2 first round picks and came away with the underwhelming Merrweather when youth at LB was a major need. Jon Beason was heavily mocked to the Pats, but I think someone on this board said his meeting with BB didn't go well. He went on to be a 2x All Pro and 3x Pro Bowl LB. Then BB traded his extra 1st round pick when Joe Staley was also heavily mocked to the Pats. He was a 3x All Pro and 6x Pro Bowl LT. Fast forward to 2008 when the OL just got abused by the Giants ruining their perfect season. You'd think they were go OL to hope this doesn't happen again, right? Ryan Clady was heavily mocked to the Pats, but BB went with the dreaded draft riser Jerod Mayo at LB. Clady went on to be a 3x All Pro and 4x Pro Bowl LT.2007 was a truly GREAT draft. 1) backup safety Meriweather who started for several years starting in 2008.
1) a 2008 1st
2) Welker
3) 2008 3rd
4) Moss
That does not change the fact that, like the 2017 draft, Belichick looked at that class and basically said "Blech."2007 was a truly GREAT draft. I see no reason for whining because the late rounders didn't work out (including 4th rounder Brown.
TBF, Mayo was an All-Pro, a 2x Pro Bowler, and a near-unanimous DROY, so I don't think BB regrets that choice. Plus remember that the 'Backerhood he was relying on in 2007 consisted entirely of players over the age of 30.It really wasn't though.
