I see nothing in the last 24 hours on the UNCFootball account about Maye. Bill is being Bill, petty and (as usual) everything has to be top secret like a black site.

You have your multiple schizo threads for this stuff.

Ya Tampa is going to be a very tough road game. This one was the more important game though with playoff implications. 2-0 now vs division and 2-2 vs conference.

I remember seeing a lot of people on the internet blasting the Pats for paying Milton Williams that much money. I bet they're quiet now

the guy is a monster and worth every penny

Yes... and it being a 4 year contract makes it look even better. True the cap numbers jumps a lot next year which will be tough.. but then it barely goes up the next 2 years and the dude is still in his prime. It will look like a lot in 26... but in 27 and 28 it will look like a deal.

Ravens being being 1-4 puts them out and that is huge. They were a lock. That opens it up for another non elite team. A team like ours.
The Pat's being "elite" or not is yet to be determined.

Entering this game they were top ten in points scored (10th) and points allowed (9th), with arguably the best special teams in the NFL... pretty elite, with a lot of room to improve as one of the youngest teams in the NFL.

No, that game will be @Tampa.
Tampa is the real deal… Baker is playing his best football of his career. Once Evans is back, Irving is back, and Godwin is 100%, they will go on a real tear. I would be surprised if they don’t finish as a top 2 seed

Bucs, Bills, Ravens if they get healthy by week 16...

That leaves three tough teams remaining on the schedule.

The Pats can't sleep on the lesser teams, and need to keep improving... but the path is clear.

Bengals were team fighting for a tier 2 spot that is now out.

AFCN is likely only to have 1 team in... Steelers. Browns, Bengals and Ravens are out.

AFCS is at most 2. Texans don't have it... Titans suck. But how much do you really believe in Indy or Jax having really solid record come the end of the year? Lawrence still hasn't improved but has a better cast. Colts have scored a ton of points vs some very bad teams. They've been hot... But why would i believe in Daniel Jones long term. These defense has been crap the last 3 years.. suddenly it is top 5? I don't buy that either. Did the Colts get that much better in the off season? I don't think so. I think this is one of those small sample size early starts that comes down to earth. They like us have a bit of a weak schedule... but i think they are a lot worse and lose to more bad teams.

I really think the AFCS sends only 1. One of the Jags or Indy will blow this early momentum. And they still need to play each other twice. If one team 0-2s the other they probably come in 9-8 at best.

So these leads a very possible 5 seeds for the AFCE and AFCW. The Raiders in the West are done. So that is a max of 3 spots they can take. Jets and Miami in the East are done. That leaves 2 spots open. Bills and Pats.

I think KC is a lock still. Bills are a lock of course.

Another way to think of it.. Pats vs Broncos vs Chargers vs Colts/Jags (whoever is worse). 3 of these teams will get in. Pats only need to be better than 1. And tonight KC plays the upstart Jags. They will probably smack them down to 3-2 right with us.
As my daughter is fond of telling me, lot's of football left.

I'm not counting out the Ravens just yet. Well coached, talented team, but they need to go on an extended run, to your point. Still, someone is getting in the tournament with 7 losses. I would rather the Ravens be sitting on some Caribbean beach come January.

Our team is playing complimentary football. The defense and special teams are really helping the offense out.

I was looking at stats and it's insane how overpoweringly dominant Maye has been. He is the offense

The run game is non existent .

Stevenson is our top running back and has 140 yards rushing and is 44 on the list and behind josh Allen who has 200 + yards . That's how bad our rushing has been. Stevenson is also behind Jalen hurts , Lamar, Herbert and even Baker Mayfield in rushing yards . That's how bad our run game is. We need to clean this up.

I strongly feel we need to get a running back through trade or PS poaching. I am sure we can find someone equivalent to what Rham is doing.

No way rham is a patriot in 2026 and I hope rham proves me wrong .

Let me add, if it hasn't been observed already

2024 was Maye
2025 is WILL
To be more precise;

2024 was Maye
2025 was WILL, PLUS several others.

The 2025 is one that we will look back on fondly in 10 years.

I've been trying to frame things myself since the game ended last night, and I'd have to say it's the best I've felt about the Patriots since winning SB53. And in a way perhaps better, since we all knew in early 2019 that it looked like things were going to wind down one way or another in the not too distant future, whereas now we're right at the beginning of something that looks like it can be the start of a long period of success. This isn't the snow angel game, but it's not too far off it for me.
Definitely better for the reasons you stated, we were near the end of the dynasty. This feels more like SB 36, a complete surprise but built on a solid foundation.

Just to get a grip I put on the following:

My thoughts:
• Man, we could really use a reliable pass-catching RB like Kevin Faulk if not a JR Redmond right about now
• Stephon Diggs >> David Patten
• Other notable targets were Wiggins and Troy Brown
• Brady is of course, the GOAT.
• Brady threw an INT and the team didn't let it kill them just like Rham's fumble didn't kill us
• Ahh, the good old 'tuck rule' play!!!

Overall the feel was similar since it was a big stage and we just never gave up, but of course the stage was even bigger for the snow angel game. Also interesting was the role of the referees in both games.
