I've been trying to frame things myself since the game ended last night, and I'd have to say it's the best I've felt about the Patriots since winning SB53. And in a way perhaps better, since we all knew in early 2019 that it looked like things were going to wind down one way or another in the not too distant future, whereas now we're right at the beginning of something that looks like it can be the start of a long period of success. This isn't the snow angel game, but it's not too far off it for me.
Definitely better for the reasons you stated, we were near the end of the dynasty. This feels more like SB 36, a complete surprise but built on a solid foundation.

And a strong hands catch by Diggs.

Saw that a few times tonight. A lesser receiver could have lost the ball.
He threw it where only Diggs could catch it wow!

I just said in another discussion...

11-6 team if they play like this every week. That was the toughest game they'll play all season.
If they play like this every week they surely aren’t losing to
Jets
Jets
Fins
Browns
Titans
Ravens with the worst d in the nfl
Bengals
Giants
Saints

Thats 12 with 2 other games, the. BiIls at home and Tampa

Where are you chalking up 4 losses against that schedule?

Can’t win every game you are supposed to but they are markedly better than at least 9 remaining opponents.

I said it in the GDT, Bradbury was just wearing out the Bills interior line the entire first half. He was playing at an incredibly high level in the run game.
He is looking so much better than advertised. People were down on him in camp, but he's been doing well out there,

So this is how our former coach feels about the Pats win last night. Loool.

This is what I hate about social media. Someone says something inaccurate, and then it's gospel. Meanwhile, you check UNC football's handle, and they've tweeted stuff about Drake Maye. The thing is, UNC rarely mentions pro players anyway. They've only mentioned 4 players all season, and two of them are Patriots.

There's this thing called the internet, and on that there's another thing that used to be called twitter. You can watch clips like this on it. This one is actually on that thing formally called twitter, you're watching it now. There's another thing called youtube, and it has almost every video known to man. He doesn't need to have a VCR anymore. I know, who knew, right?

Steve!!

I've said this since week 1.. that the AFC is wide open.. look at the chargers yesterday, Ravens,... then look at teams like us and the Broncos on the come up.. of course the Bills will be there..but we not only proved to ourselves that we can hang with them we overcame adversity and our QB put us in the position to win... when's the last time we've said that!

Ravens being being 1-4 puts them out and that is huge. They were a lock. That opens it up for another non elite team. A team like ours.
Bengals were team fighting for a tier 2 spot that is now out.

AFCN is likely only to have 1 team in... Steelers. Browns, Bengals and Ravens are out.

AFCS is at most 2. Texans don't have it... Titans suck. But how much do you really believe in Indy or Jax having really solid record come the end of the year? Lawrence still hasn't improved but has a better cast. Colts have scored a ton of points vs some very bad teams. They've been hot... But why would i believe in Daniel Jones long term. These defense has been crap the last 3 years.. suddenly it is top 5? I don't buy that either. Did the Colts get that much better in the off season? I don't think so. I think this is one of those small sample size early starts that comes down to earth. They like us have a bit of a weak schedule... but i think they are a lot worse and lose to more bad teams.

I really think the AFCS sends only 1. One of the Jags or Indy will blow this early momentum. And they still need to play each other twice. If one team 0-2s the other they probably come in 9-8 at best.

So these leads a very possible 5 seeds for the AFCE and AFCW. The Raiders in the West are done. So that is a max of 3 spots they can take. Jets and Miami in the East are done. That leaves 2 spots open. Bills and Pats.

I think KC is a lock still. Bills are a lock of course.

Another way to think of it.. Pats vs Broncos vs Chargers vs Colts/Jags (whoever is worse). 3 of these teams will get in. Pats only need to be better than 1. And tonight KC plays the upstart Jags. They will probably smack them down to 3-2 right with us.

Ssomewhere along the last 3 drives last night, I said "just **** in my mouth now so if we lose it doesn't seem all that bad"

So, so so glad to report no one took me up in that.

I see nothing in the last 24 hours on the UNCFootball account about Maye. Bill is being Bill, petty and (as usual) everything has to be top secret like a black site.
