Agreed. Allen like Brady did for so long makes thier OL look elite. I believe honestly they are average players who are propped up by an elite QB. Dawkins is thier best OL and he can be had by quicker pass rushers.. we create pressure rushing 4.. Barmore is gradually getting back to form creating havoc in the backfield. Williams is a beast. Landry and Chaisson are a force off the edges..

I say gonzo on thier TE they love to go to him on 3rd downs, cook is 85% of their offense. Slow him and mix with coverage will keep us in the game.

On offense attack Buffalo small LBs utilize Henry, and Diggs knows thier DBs better than anyone. Henderson with perimeter runs will stress Buffalo defenders.
To me, stopping Cook will be the key. Maybe they can scheme to minimize Allen, but Cook is mano a mano.

Absolutely. I've said this on the forum that cook is essentially thier offense. Allen will get his but if we can somehow hold Buffalo to 21-23 points then we have an opportunity.

I’m guessing you haven’t seen any of the Bills-KC playoff games. Allen has played ridiculously well and players around him (not to mention coaching) have let him down repeatedly. Last year it was Dalton Kincaid dropping a 4th down pass that ended a would-be game winning drive.

I've watched the Chiefs own Allen home and away in the post season.

Peyton Manning had the same issues and he managed to overcome them. It all boils down to the offense scoring points and the QB making sound decisions.

I suppose the Bills OC is to blame.

Buffalo smallish LBs make them susceptible to being run on.

I’ve said this before, but the Bills coaching staff doesn’t mind being ran on. They invite it.

Sure, they don’t want to give up 10 ypc or something insane, but they purposefully give opposing offenses the run lanes and essentially play chicken with them to do it all game long.

What typically happens is that the opposing team ends up with a ton of rushing yards, but with the Bills offense scoring 30+ points each game, the opponent eventually has to abandon the run to keep up points wise (and have enough time).

When you have a top 3 offense, giving up the run can be to your advantage and the Bills do it masterfully.

“You want to run on us? Go right ahead.” - Bills coaching motto

You really think the Chiefs have owned Allen?

He’s done more than his part. Defense and coaching have failed him.

I feel like getting into the Xs and Os too much here is kind of a waste, as so much depends on how well Allen plays and the Bills in general. They really do need to leave the door open for us or a few big plays need to go our way. But we may as well talk broad strokes on the match up.

Bills offense - Their starting RT is out. Lundt the 2025 6th round pick is filling in on the 2nd most valuable OL spot. Last game was his first start. Be curious to get any grades on him.

On D Oliver and Malino are both are which are arguably their 2 best defensive players. So they have areas to attack.

I have spoken with Triumph a lot over the years. He isnt too bright but he is fun to talk to. You just have to walk him through concepts closely.

Got it.
I’ve heard this exact same thing from many Allen detractors, and it’s such a lazy, ill-informed argument.

Only thing I have for Allen is he takes and has taken a pounding, it will catch up to him soon a la Cam Newton. Just the natural progression.

Also you can't openly opine about wanting a SB etc etc as he has done.

I see your point. What is wrong with that format is when you allow teams to run it opens up everything for an offense to be able to do. Let's not kid ourselves into believing the bills win games because of thier defense they win because of Josh Allen and how he elevates thier offense. I even said myself the bills have to win on offense they have to put up 30 plus and that is alot of pressure on even a great QB like Allen in Knowing that his defense is susceptible to being run on.

For example go back to week 1 the Ravens did whatever they wanted on offense. The Ravens defense like it's doing now let Buffalo back in the game.

I would like for McDermott to keep the same philosophy against us Sunday night. Because if we are running the ball then Josh could really get creative and have play action plays as his disposal.

Viper, thanks for pointing this out. That's a big no no. As good as he is. If he goes down Buffalo is assured a first round draft pick. When Brady went down we still went 11-5.

Oliver has a chance to play next week, not sure about Milano.

Our D will have to key on: Cook, Shakir & Kincaid. Those guys could be matchup difficulties in the pass D.
And of course, we haven't faced a top 20 QB yet this year, and we're jumping in against the MVP.

On the other side, the Bills D has allowed avg. 20pts against the trash Dolphins & Saints offense.
So, I think we will be able to move the ball if we're mistake free.
I actually think we have a chance to surprise them. But we can't give up a 1st drive TD like we have been.

Cook is the guy I'd focus on.. gonzo on kincaid, Davis on Coleman, and Marcus on shakir/Moore. You have to take away Allen's go to guys especially on 3rd downs. This would be a good game for Marty mapu on the edges for cook.

Was Cam a cumulative thing? I thought he hurt his shoulder trying to tackle after an interception a couple years before we got him and was never the same.

Maybe a visit to the Optometrist would be a good idea for you.

Josh Allen playoff stats against KC:

65% passing, 1300 yards, 9 TD’s, 2 INT’s and he has put up an average of 28 points per game on offense

KC vs Buffalo post season wins

Buffalo - 0
KC - 4

One and the same. It's only a matter of time with those types of guys and the less pounding Maye dishes out the longer of a career he will have.
