Didn’t see any of that game, but was texting with a buddy who is a Bills fan. He said they couldn’t stop the run and Josh was having an off day. Would love Josh to have an “off day” against us, but that’s wishful thinking.
Buffalo smallish LBs make them susceptible to being run on. As you see what Ravens were able to do week 1. In earlier post I mentioned about gonzo on thier TE, Davis on Coleman and Marcus on shakir especially on 3rd down.

Running the ball will do wonders for us and I believe this can be a game where the backs can all be effective. Henry, Diggs will also be important factors in this game as well. Seemingly the pop ship has sailed.. at this point i think pop should be traded to a team that he can thrive with. Chism should be given the nod.

Probably the likely scenario is us losing a close game Sunday, getting that bad taste out our mouths with a win against jets Thursday night, then a mini-bye week.

Preparing for some road games. Not sure about you Ross, but I tend to like this team on the road more then I do at home for some reason...
Ha, I was thinking the same thing... They're better on the road!

Young up and coming teams tend to play closer to equally at home and on the road.

I still think the Bills are coming out of the AFC in January.

I don't expect them to take an AFC East rival lightly. If we look good Sunday night that's a great sign for the season.

If the Patriots put up a fight, Maye looks good, and the defense doesn't get obliterated, you can handle a loss. Even if Buffalo pulls away late.

If it's a complete blowout and the team reverts back to last year, well....that is a huge step back.

Either way, the team should be no worse than 4-4 before the Atlanta game. The next step of the rebuild is beating up on garbage teams. Yesterday was a good start.

That dude is SMALL.

I take back what I said about Bailey Zappe the last few years... he might be shorter but he isn't a midget like Murray or Young.
He can't see over the OL unless the guy is 5 - 9.

Just another guy in a long list of crap Alabama QBs.

Think we will compete and it will be a good chance to see where we are, particularly in terms of line play.

Don’t see it as winnable without 2+ turnovers or special teams TDs

I'm not sold on that defense/coaching when it matters most. And the other thing for them is the pressure is at an all-time high. Allen will be 30 in 2026. If they don't win it this year, they may never do it. If they went 17-0 (they won't) and lost in the playoffs, it's a failed season. Nothing they do, fair or not, matters until they win it all.

I think the "problem" for them is that McDermott is good enough where it would be tough to find a suitable replacement. But he isn't good enough to get the team to the SB.

He is like the Kirk Cousins (pre-injury) or Dak Prescott of NFL coaches.

Anyone know Carlton Davis' status? I remember he got hurt at one point but IIRC he came back into the game later... Having both him and Gonzo available next week will be crucial.

Josh Allen’s last 5 games (excluding 2024 week 18) vs pats:

1,065 yards
8 TDs
4 INTs
85.5 passer rating

Allen hasn’t played well vs. the pats the last few years. They’ve been competitive with Jones, Zappe & rookie Maye at QB. I expect them to be competitive Sunday.

It’s worth noting that the Bills have zero All-Pro players besides Allen. Their lack of high end talent may be their downfall similar to the last few seasons. Their team runs through Allen & an elite OL. Coleman & Palmer are arguably the worst outside WRs in the NFL. The pats should blitz often and trust Gonzo & Davis on the outside IMO.
Agree about their WR's but I'd say rather than blitz, keep Allen and Cook from hurting us with the run. Could be a day for Dugger.

It's not gonna be a blowout unless we turn it over multiple times like the Pitt game. We can move the ball and our D is too good.

I think on paper we'll be the Best Defense they will play so far. I think if our Defense can keep em to 21 we have very good chance. I think we can score on them at will; Buffalo does not have Championship Defense.

Pats have done pretty well at limiting what opponents do well. Week 1 they shut down Jeanty. Week 3 they shutdown Metcalf. Both those guys looked very good yesterday. I like the Pats chances at slowing down James Cook and I like our CBs chances at staying with their WRs. Containing Allen's scrambles and the TE will be key.

On the other side the Pats offense has been moving the ball very well the last 3 games. Why can't it continue? Glad we benched worthless Douglas yesterday and although Brown did well at guard I hope Wilson is back for this one.

Speaking of not living up to expectations.

When is Allen going to take Buffalo back to the Super Bowl?

I’m guessing you haven’t seen any of the Bills-KC playoff games. Allen has played ridiculously well and players around him (not to mention coaching) have let him down repeatedly. Last year it was Dalton Kincaid dropping a 4th down pass that ended a would-be game winning drive.

I don't like the coach but the last playoff loss wasn't on him or Allen.

Good luck this season. If they make the big game I'll win some $ taking the Eagles and the over.

As usual Allen rolling out to his right will be dangerous.

Pats have a chance if they can score more points than the Bills.

Make me think of this.

Diggs off his injury putting up numbers... more of that please!
