Only had two catches for 7 yards today.

Olave and DJ Moore are likely going to be available for trade in the next few weeks or month. Not sure if they are the guys you want to trade for, but they are definitely better than what was available in the offseason for trade. I might trade for Moore if the price is right. He could be a top Z WR in the league. Diggs seems to be better suited as the slot WR right now. And then you hope Boutte or Williams turn into a good Z WR and then draft a real one high next offseason.
I can’t see us keeping Diggs in the slot at his cap number.

The TOs were correctable and most importantly they moved the ball and showed a level of execution we haven't seen in a long time.

Seems the correction was to play Rham less.

I liked Olave coming out, and he was good early. But that concussion history and his small frame are worrisome.

Why? In this offense, a slot WR can be a 1,000 plus yard WR. And Diggs' contract isn't exactly a top tier contract. He is making $21 million a year. That isn't remotely close to a top tier contract. It is half of what guys like Jefferson and Chase are making.

Yeah, maybe. If he ends up being a focal point of the offense.

2 catches on nine targets. He should probably be quiet.

I think I would put Moore over Olave myself. But Olave is a free agent next year. So his trade value is low. You can test him out this year and give him a contract next year if he produces and you think you can get him better protect himself. Granted he has a had a string of bad QBs in New Orleans throwing a decent amount of coffin balls.

Agreed. Production is production.
Even if he lined up inside today he averaged over 16 yds/catch.

The inactive Efton Chism outplayed Pop Douglas again. Pop being Active is almost a criminal offence.
Bro!

The won the fekkin’ game IN A BLOWOUT!

How about you enjoy it. Cheesus.

There are so many things to talk about with this game all around. The CB trio and how that looks. The OL really coming together with Campbell now 4 games in. At this point you can comfortably say, yes he was worth that pick.

I still question if this team is doing enough to get Williams and Henderson involved. And yes, I think Chism should have a look. Henry has looked maybe the best he has in his career these first 4 games. The play of the DL and particularly Milton Williams, who has shown yes. He is worth that big contract.

But we all know, the real story is Maye. How good is he? How good will he be? We are 1 quarter into year 2 of what we believed would be a 3 year project not unlike the very raw Josh Allen years.

I know we are being positive, but i think we are STILL not giving Maye enough credit. We don't need to revisit how bad his cast was in year 1. Let's focus on year 2. He is now learning to play with a decent overall 52. Not every single thing will fall on him this year like it did last year. He has a run game he can lean on. An OL who can block and a defense that is representative.

His offensive cast overall is still bottom 10 in the league. Maybe bottom 5? But it is still much improved over last year. He now needs to learn how to win. And also needs to learn how to manage a game in the NFL. Now that he doesn't need to create something every play or have to carry a subpar run game and has a D is a bit more dynamic. He now has to learn how to manage this. When to try to make plays and when to not cause he has other players he can depend on who won't blow it automatically if he doesn't pull a rabbit out of his ass. This is a new skill he has to learn. How to win games, now that they are indeed winnable. This is still something he has to work on.

But overall while we are only 4 game in year 2 of the Drake Maye experiment. It is clear he has taken a step. And he is doing it through to not great players behind a not great OL. They aren't trash anymore, but still not great. Imagine how he'd look if he had a true #1 WR. Just throwing that out there. But in 4 games with a now decent OL we have seen a vast improvement. He has had 2 almost perfectly clean games. That is about what he had last year. He is getting down better before hits come and he is more accurate.

Accuracy is still an issue even with his insane completion %. He still needs to make less mistakes. His first or second pass this game was highly questionable. But while his competition hasn't been great. It is hard to argue with 7 TDs 2 Ints +70%. Eventually you are who your numbers say you are. Now we needs wins to follow. And that means consistency.

Maye was excellent today.
Let’s see how he and the OL do against tougher competition before we put him in HoF
Always ensure there is a somewhat negative spin in your posts, dissapointing, because otherwise, you were doing pretty well today. Try looking at the positive more often, it makes life somewhat easier to deal with. Only trying to help btw.

It can't be often that a team scores 40+ points without getting a turnover. I realise the two punt returns had a similar effect to getting turnovers, but even so.
What I like even better - the Patriots scored 40+ points without COMMITTING a single turnover.

ZERO interceptions. ZERO fumbles. Now that's immaculate.

He wants to be traded, probably. Wonder if Eagles will listen to offers.
