One thought that occurred to me during the game. Drake Maye still hasn't started one full season yet. I'm looking forward to year two.

Let's not waste that opportunity - a top 10 QB with 4 years left on his rookie deal is Gold in the NFL.

The days of the 1976 Steelers, with HOFers at every position, is ancient history. Get a top 5 QB and an average rest of the roster, and you have a perennial contender.

I preferred Maye over both Williams and Daniels, and my opinion is vindicated, at least for today.

That was a fun game to watch. They let Drake cook a bit, exciting punt returns. The kept the bad football to a minimum. Good job today. 2-2 is so much better than 1-3.

Not entirely surprised by this result.

I felt good about the team after last week even though we lost.

The TOs were correctable and most importantly they moved the ball and showed a level of execution we haven't seen in a long time.

I will say ILB play is still a massive hole. Anytime the Panthers ran off tackle, it was almost a guaranteed 5 yards because the ILBs were slow to diagnose.

Side note - Got dragged to Antique and Art show for most of game. Wife spent a lot (not a flex just a fact) still more relaxed after this game than RKK after a handy.

Drake is legit, people need to be patient with the occasional dumb play. He will shake that off but otherwise I think he is a top 10 QB by the end of the season or sooner.

Get that man a true #1 receiver in the offseason.

Felt like that jets game in October 21 when the team which was mostly new and sorting itself out just came together and blew up. We showed lots of flashes on both sides the first few weeks but very inconsistent. Nice to see the team capable of a complete game. This gives me hope we can take advantage of that 4 game stretch after the bills game and go into the final stretch at 5-4 or 6-3.

Lots to feel good about, but like i said in the gdt diggs having his coming out game was probably the best development for me.

Drake looked amazing yet again. This is more the type of game i wanted to see him manage this year. Obviously you wont get 42-13 much, but holding the opponent under 20 and getting some help from the run game / designed rollouts and easy throws, just not forcing him to carry the team on his back with average receivers. Haters are gonna hate but The guy is WAY ahead of schedule imo considering his experience. sure he still does some headscratchers but hes 23 its gonna happen. Imagine how good the guy can be with more experience with Josh and some actual receiving talent.

I did, too. Daniels has exceeded expectations so far, but I still like Maye better, and am not sure Daniels will hold up.

Hard to kill him for production when we only threw 17 times. But Diggs is the WR1

He is not WR1. He's a solid depth piece. Lots of room to upgrade for the future, at a number of positions. But OK for now.
