The main event issue which stuck out. Offense has no explosive plays. That to me is the main story. Henderson... No big plays. Williams I think barely played. Everyone else pretty much did work man like jobs on offense. Made chain moving plays, but nothing explosive. And when you do don't have those you need to be so damn consistent on those small plays. And they aren't.

I don’t have a lot of good things to say. Boutte, Diggs, and Landry were all pretty good. Most everything else sucked.

Tough game for 66. Gotta clean things up. I’m hoping Diggs gets close to 100% soon. We need someone to open up the field for Maye. Boutte, Pop, Henry… all good possession guys but we need to get the ball downfield.

Bad start. Looked rough at first, then a solid rest of the first half, then totally died in the second half and did very little. Discuss!

Edit: Ian beat me by a hair. Merged the threads
That's the Coaching right there.

The excuses for Maye have to stop.
He does not have “it”
He does not make players around him better
He is inaccurate and makes poor decisions
He was never really forced to compete for starters job

Tired of the losing for this team going on 6 straight years.

Not enough talented players.

Mac Jones 2.0 incoming
I pray that this isn’t the case, but with options a plenty in April, they shouldn’t rest on their laurels.

Stevenson is overrated around here imo. He was never that good period. And he can’t hold on to the ball. Henderson needs to be the guy.

I knew we would suck this year but I didn't think wed be making the same mistakes still.

This is crazy.

The defense has potential imo. Geno played an impressive game. Geno made some great throws and didn't let sacks effect him mentally. I thought our coverage was a little too aggressive and left openings for big plays. But holding them to just twenty is decent imo.

Our offense just wasn't good. No run game and Maye played poorly. Special teams and the short punts were poor. Lots of room for improvement but the offense left me discouraged more than anything else.

Bad start, but now they have a good idea of what needs fixing. A lot of film to analyze.

Another Vrabel opening loss.

It went about how I thought it would go. They aren’t ready yet.

I don’t think we should be jumping out of windows yet.

Oh, Fish and Jets lost. If the Ravens beat the Bills, then the Pats are tied for first!

they had a better QB and a better LT.

And, yes, we didn't cash in on opportunities.

Playing like this we will not win a lot of games...

Obviously.

How the team reacts and deals with adversity will tell a lot about whether this is another dumpster fire or whether there is something to work with.

FWIW, Fish look like a bigger mess right now. But then again, Raiders didn't look that impressive coming in.

I'm hoping those who have been quick to badmouth a certain someone and suggest the Patriots fortunes would've been gone radically differently had he been relieved of his duties sooner, realize how difficult it is to win games in the NFL and consistently coach/manage a contending team.

Plugging in a new coach/GM isn't that simple. Feels apt to mention in light of this week 1 game and the narrative that his presence was holding the team back from success. This **** is HARD.
The problem is that person still has fingerprints all over the roster and we are still digging out of a hole. It took 10 years of poor roster building to get us in this mess and the bottom fell out recently. It won't be one or two seasons to get out of it.

Campbell wasn’t wonderful today either. I guess that should not be surprising but a game like that won’t quiet the critics.
