Craig Woodson is Eugene Wilson 2.0.

NEM was a poster who is no longer with us. When he was here, he was argumentative as f**k. NEM 2.0 is Andy but there is some debate
NEM was definitely one of a kind. Rest in peace.

Andy can be a bit persistent, and likes having the last word (as is the case with many Homo Sapiens), but I personally find many of his posts to be interesting. IMHO, he stirs the drink (admittedly, sometimes quite vigorously) using a straw….instead of a Roto-Rooter

Too bad there’s no Rodney beside him.
I think we need Woodson to fill the Rodney Harrison type role anyway and Hawkins will have to try and be Geno. Unless Dugger still winds up starting.

Unlike last season with the YMCA volunteers at coaches and evaluations. We have real professional coaches who know talent. What i can say is Vrabel ans his coaches aren't going to move away from peppers if they weren't overwhelming convinced about Woodson. Love The read on him.

Thank you for adding in to my post - I should have mentioned Pettus as well, I think he is part of the equation.
Your welcome. Yes Pettus is an ace STs player as well and the guys like a young version of peppers he's physical and loves to hit.

They wanted to get Craig Woodson on the field, Dugger had a harder contract to move and is a better athlete than Peppers. One of the vets had to go...

A lot of people will be surprised to see Dugger starting in game one... but I suspect he will be alongside Woodson.

I felt the same way wozzy. I think peppers was the more aggressive athlete. However he nor Dugger the team saw as long term guys. Woodson is a talented guy that the coaching staff is confident in. Feels like Woodson, Dugger and Hawkins will be the guys.. with Pettus mixed in as well. If Pettus really comes on like I expect him too with increased playing time. He and Woodson will be the starters by seasons end.

Pettus and Hawkins are special teams players... neither is a starter. Schooler is a much better athlete than either of them, but both of them probably understood the scheme and what the coaches wanted in coverage and they are cheap. Dugger should start alongside Woodson, I hope they reward Schooler with some snaps on defense.

After a couple days, Vrabel ultimately let Peppers walk instead of forcing him into a situation he was unhappy with
You could have used stronger language. Like *****ing in the locker room. That's Kryptonite to a rebuild.

Schooler was involved last season with some snaps on defense. His skill set it's best suited around the line of scrimmage. Hawkins is more rangy and the move from the YMCA coaches has really benefited his game.

Agree on Schooler, not convinced yet on Hawkins.

It's been reported that Hawkins has had a great camp and has really improved his game within the new scheme. We'll see how it goes.

There was only one Rodney, my friend. Extremely hard to find a reasonable facsimile. Woodson seems to have all the tools. I'll settle for a good Woodson, and trust that Vrabel is filling his roster with players who can execute the game plan.

And so many people here were not happy with the pick when it was made.

Just like with Duron Harmon.

Once I saw his profile and his highlights im college I was very impressed with Woodson. Of course all draft picks are gambles but him being a week 1 starting Safety is telling of how the team views him.

Agree, Hawkins is more Free Safety than Strong Safety.

Yes agreed. Hawkins has the range and he has good closing speed. He, Dugger, and Woodson could work well together.

I know there were several plays at the practices I went to where I noticed him making plays. Shame on me for not seeing it but I made my decision up on him last year and didn't really give him enough credit this summer. Had I been more open minded maybe I would have seen it coming.

And even still I somehow don't really believe in him. It's hard for me to picture him better than Dugg or Pep. Hopefully he really is that much better than last year.
