Your logic seems to be that a 2nd or 3rd rounder from a recent draft should be a foundational starter. OK
You then conclude if the aren't a starter that they should be cut. That simply doesn't follow. If a recent 2nd or 3rd round pick can be a solid backup, then he makes the 53. The fact that we hoped for more is irrelevant.
No, his conclusion is that they're all in danger of being cut because they're injured/sucking. If they weren't, then they'd be under solid consideration for backup positions, although recent 2nd- & 3rd-round picks should indeed be your franchise's foundational starters.
