Yes, if Polk or Bourne is on the 53, and then put on IR-DTR the next day, then Chism and Baker are "fighting" for the 7th WR roster spot.

No longer need to do it that way. They can go straight to IR-DTR on cutdown day.

Playing in the 4th quarter to get reps because you are working back from injury isn’t damning. Playing LT like Fatassrian Lowe, is damning.

They do not. We get 55 players on cut day: the 53-man roster and 2 players to IR-DTR. These players could have been sent to IR anytime during the TC or the pre-season, even on the day of the cut-down.

We get a total of 8 IR-DTRS during the season, six more if we have used two.
