Cole Strange got more work in on Monday behind Mike Onwenu at right guard, which has been the case in recent practices. Perhaps the goal is to see if he can handle the versatility on both sides, possibly giving him an opportunity as Vrabel and the coaching staff continue trying to figure out thier depth chart. … Caedan Wallace seems to have locked in the backup spot behind rookie Jared Wilson, who has stepped into Strange’s spot at left guard and continues to hold it down after being elevated into the top spot in recent weeks.
If Moses isn't likely to play 17 then might our best combo wind up being Onwenwu at RT and Strange at RG? I'd lean toward Bryant but then that's a lot of rookies on one line.

Seems like they're figuring out if there is anywhere that Strange can actually play.

Hell if he played like he did the latter 1/2 of his rookie year or before he got hurt he'd be serviceable at LG

Is there some sort of joke I am missing here?
Strange began camp as the starter at LG, since Wilson moved in he has been running almost exclusively with the 2’s as at guard or center. You said he wasn’t, you are clearly lying.

I suspect he’ll push his way out of town because he knows he can start somewhere else. He might not be built that way though, maybe he keeps his head down and leaves as a free agent after this season if they don’t trade him.

thats not true. just yesterday it was reported Wallace pretty much locked up the back up OG spot. (posted above)
Strange is fighting Brown for an IOL back up spot, but he is not running with the 2's. it has been reported multiple places Brown is ahead of him

Yes, it is true.

Wallace can’t play center, he can barely play guard and isn’t good enough to play tackle… he’s not in competition with Strange. Calling him a lock is more Rkarp foolishness.

They need someone who can swing along the interior... guard and center.

Brown literally got replaced by Strange last year because he stunk… this team won the last game and gave up no sacks. Brown is a jag, that’s why they brought in another center. If Strange leaves they’ll need another interior swingman.

the first thing this new staff did was resign Brown. the next thing they did was bring in Schweitzer to replace Strange.
they have elevated Brown to the 2's at OC, and trying him at OG to see if he can be that swing IOL. if he can, they keep Wilson, Wallace, Bradbury, Brown, Onwenu. Strange will be cut.

do you not see this?
do you like to argue to hear yourself argue?
do you like to lie?
or are you one of those people that gets pleasure from being wrong?

Some moron reporter announcing “player x locked up x position” and you believing it is the only foolishness I see above.

The line has been a revolving door because the coaches are looking for guys to fill roles, that’s why the backup units have changed daily. Strange backed up Onwenu… that’s the second unit.

Wallace has only played guard, he isn’t a “lock” for anything. Moreover an unattributed reporter making a proclamation on roster locks as being definitive is laughable… next time provide a link so we know who to mock besides you.

PS I said Strange was a danger to be cut or traded before the offseason even began. He is in the last year of his rookie contract. He wants to play and earn another one, here or elsewhere.

IOL backups (pick 2-3)
Strange, Wallace, Brown, L. Robinson

You said this before but I haven't seen a single report Stange has been running with the 1's. You're just saying something with no evidence.

Ian is not a moron

facts suck for you

Four Back-ups is a bit much three should suffice.
Not surprising, Strange can back up all three. I don't even want Brown as backup center, never mind Guard. Robinson and Wallace haven't even sniffed center.

IOL backups (pick 2-3)
Strange, Wallace, Brown, L. Robinson
Thinking about the final count for O-Linemen.
Starters

Campbell - Wilson - Bradbury - Onwenu - Moses

Back-ups

Lowe - Jacobs - Bryant - Strange - Wallace and Bown.

We probably could get creative and gamble on Benny Brown making our Taxi squad.

He was literally the starting left guard for the first two weeks when Wilson started moving in… were you hibernating?

We haven't heard nothing about Layden Robinson or Siddy Sow Sow this TC. They're really playing their ways to our PS.

I’d like for Strange to shut his mouth and play out his contract. Just not sure that will happen…
