Nix is one thing, but Rattler is bad. Many fans wanted MHJ and said get the QB next draft, which I argued against vehemently. If we did that, who would we have taken at QB this year at 4? I'm glad we chose the route we did. When you need a QB and you have belief in the guy, you take him, no questions asked.

That's assuming they still end up at 4. (I'm honestly not sure if they'd have been more likely to pick 1 or 2 in this scenario, or closer to 12.)

They can both be good, the issue is Sam labeling Campbell a huge mistake, and Simmons a star, after only a few practices, none of which he has seen. In fact I would bet that Sam had never seen either play at any time, and couldn’t name another lineman on either of their college teams without googling them. He simply gets a hair across his ass and comes in here to vent about it, it has gotten really old, and he has zero credibility on any topic because all he does is *****.

The news on Simmons is basically the same as Campbell. Today, they asked a Vet KC DL about him and his praise was pretty boilerplate. Nothing earth shattering. You can see why he was a 1st rounder, blah, blah, blah.

Haha I mean what can you say, a week into camp and he’s showing promise, that’s incredible, clearly the Patriots should have skipped the 3 other OTs in front of him and spent a top of the draft on a guy they almost could have taken in the second round.

After Thuney got destroyed at LT in the Suoer Bowl, KC media and fans are dancing on the roof if Simmons puts his uniform on correctly.

They believe that their OL problems are solved. Nothing has happened to confirm that.

I was the ONLY person on this who publicly went on record prior to the draft and said I would take Josh Simmons at #4 if no trade down was available.

nah, not the only one... I would have punched the ticket with Simmons name on it at 4 without hesitation... and said so in March, more than a month and a half before the draft...

This is a hole lot of talk without a single name being thrown out that would be available and fix the position.

You know why, because there isn't a single guy in this draft that is a can't miss prospect at the position....not a single one. There probably isn't even a guy that a better than 75% certainty.

Josh Simmons. I want him. I would draft him tomorrow at 4 - No questions asked.

Will Campbell would be my second choice. Since I don't think we will get jumped at 4, eh.

still, i don't mind us taking Campbell at 4... taking a LT was paramount, it had to be done... and given the injury simmons had, Campbell was a logical pick at the time...
