Drake Maye adapting to McDaniels Offense

Teams will be looking to defend the short & intermediate game but will also need to respect Maye’s legs. A few deep shots a game to guys like Boutte or Williams will force them to respect that too. Sprinkle in enough of the low percentage stuff that it keeps the high percentage stuff from being over-defended.

Dink and dunk keeps the other teams offense off the field for a longer amount of time.

Im not going to change tunes before seeing the team play - even TCs are obviously not the same thing as seeing the strategy in action -

How much of McD's "short, take what they give you" is going to translate for someone like Maye?

I think comparing him to Brady is far fetched - they do not have similar traits, physicaly and in playing style, so either Maye will have to change his style to fit McD

or

McD will move away from his pattented game style

Personally I hope is tha latter, since I was skeptical about bringing him back, as I think he has been, for awhile, too conservative and lacking creativity

I think the most important thing is to adjust to the QB's strengths. Josh made Mac Jones look great for awhile. That must have been difficult and required flexibility in play calling.

Mickey D always had a tendency to abandon the run. In many post season losses we saw that as a culprit.

I believe that Vrabel wants to lean heavy on the run, so I expect some change there. A lot is riding on Henderson.

I see Maye as having a better stronger arm than Brady. I'm guessing that we will see more deep shots downfield and that they will connect. Usually, the deep balls don't complete and those throws are taken out of the script unless its Hail Mary time. I suspect that they will be in Mayes arsenal.

I missed that.

Corky looked good vs bad teams.

I'm sure that there are QB's who look mediocre against weak team and look great against good teams.
==========
STEP ONE is to beat the teams that you should beat. THEN, eventually, a QB might be competitive as an underdog.

Beating the teams that you should beat and splitting against the rest is often enough to get lots of teams into the second season.

Why is Corky with no job?

Fetching Gatorade is an insult to a QB of his caliber.

People are still pumping this Bust up.

Corky is a fraud.

Not to mention RPO: though Maye could be an exclusive Pocket passer with his skillset. But I can't wait to see the design run play calls from certain formations. Imagine a Brady who could actually run; that's probably what we have in Maye.
And, one with a "Cannon" for an Arm.

Because of Maye's arm strength, size, and athletic ability, Josh would be a fool to not use those abilities that Maye has and adapt his system to Maye.

Maye dropped a nice dime to Pop Douglas today.

No way is Pop getting the boot.

Learn to ride a horse before entering the Kentucky Derby, eh?

You people are.

Its over. Corky is not an NFL QB.
I am going to be blunt here Triumph.. If you think I have been propping Mac Jones up two things are true: 1. You don't pay attention and 2. You are the dumbest mother****er on these boards.

I was one of if not the first person who said he had to go. In his second year here.

"You people" my ass. Take that dumbass **** elsewhere.
