Ya, don’t think that’s the case. His freshman season was his best, and there was talk he could be an early draft pick in a couple of years. Those talks died completely after disappointing Sophomore and Jr seasons, and spending time in the doghouse. Pretty misleading to say he was ever projected as a 1st rounder in his draft. I have heard peeps say this over the past couple of years, not really the case
Pretty sure he had a bad Ankle Injury, then had issues with the staff.

Maybe he's healthy and finally GETS IT?
He's fkn got talent, I'd get rid of others before him at THIS POINT. Maybe he shts the bed over Josh's offense, but I guess we'll see.

He had some things working against him for sure, but he was never considered a realistic first rounder as the draft approached. Whatever draft guide had him as the #1 WR is laughable. Look, I like him and think he can continue to carve out a role on this team, but let’s not pretend he’s a future #1 or was ever considered that by any respected draft outlets.
During his FRESHMAN YEAR

Personal choice DoubleD, that's all. I still have 3-4 hanging in the closet. I'll wear Pats colors with pride daily if they let me(at work).
Gave mine to my kids when downsizing. Still have a 2000's away jersey with my name and a willie mcginest 55.

I think the character issues are what dropped him to the point of almost falling out of the draft.

After Boutte's injury shortened 2nd year, all LSU fans expected that Jayden Daniels would come in and make him a top WR in the country. But JD was very slow to catch on, and by the time things started clicking for him, Malik Nabers became his favorite target. Boutte got kind of lost in the offense. It was at that point Tiger fans realized that he wasn't who we thought he was. We thought we were getting the next Chase or Jefferson. Just wasn't the case.

I am rooting for him though. He went from my favorite college team to my favorite pro team. How can I not?

Tweet for camp stats context from J.J. Watt:

That JJ Watt tweet is right on point. When I was teaching my son chess, I always emphasized you can learn a lot more from a game you lost than a game you won. Just so long as you don't get discouraged.

Drake yesterday told Gonzo that he will keep testing him - doesn't want him getting bored. That raises the difficulty level for Drake - much more chance of an interception or an incompletion. But it's still the right thing to do at least some of the time.

Sounds like Maye had a good dayl. 10-10 passing. Also Kyle Williams showed his explosive ability.

That's music to my ears. If Williams can emerge as a legit weapon opposite from Stefon Diggs we might see some fireworks on offense this season!

Love chess.

Not sure how old your son is but "Searching for Bobby Fischer" and "The Queens Gambit" are good chess-based movie/series.

I have a vintage Vincent Brown in the royal blue, not sure what else I have in there.

I have a Bledose, 2 Bradys, 2 Gronks, Welker, Moss, Maroney (ugh), Ted Johnson, Tippet.
quite the collection. I have a vintage belichick hoodie from the 2004 Era. I don't wear it much now, it's starting to age.

So for me the most significant development today was that Jared Wilson received first team reps at both center and LG.

It's rare for a rookie OL to move up this fast, even with last year's problems.

Reminds me of Joe Thuney who lined up as starter the first day and never left.

I think that more rookies start at OL than any other position.

I saw him 2 years ago. I love the guy and his music, but boy is he old. It will not be what you expect.
Yea that's the issue w/ the older artists. Catch them on a good night and it's spectacular. Anything else it's brutal to sit through.

I don't put much stock in unpadded practice from either Line. Coaching staff might just want to get a look at his movement and snapping. Now if he keeps getting first team reps once the pads come on, then I will be encouraged.

Yes but it's from the first day of camp part that's not common, for a third rounder.
