Post Your Way too Early Season Predictions For Maye/Receivers

Maye will hit the 4,000 yard mark if the OL keeps him healthy for all 17 games. I think the backfield will be an important part of the passing game under McDaniels. My roster guess prior to training camp appears below with speed being the key feature of the WR crew. I expect the practice squad to have a couple of capable receivers to step in as the season progresses.

My Binkie is DeMeer Blankumsee out of Memphis. He's a threat out of the backfield, can line up on the line and was a safety valve in college who knew how to find the open spot underneath. From the highlights, he looked liked a capable blocker, but those videos never show the missed bloc and sack.

The offensive line gives more confidence than a year ago. Having a veteran OL coach is huge with some experienced guys to help the rookies and 2nd -year guys. The OT position is much better with Campbell, Moses and Wallace. Cole Strange at OG is a better fit on the line. My roster is light by one OL at this point - that will get ironed out in camp.

QB (2) Drake Maye, Joshua Dobbs
RB (4) Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, TreVeyon Henderson, Brock Lampe
TE (3) Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jack Westover
WR (8) Stefon Diggs, Demario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Efton Chism III, Javon Baker, Ja'Lynn Polk, DeMeer Blankumsee
C (2) Jared Wilson, Ben Brown
G (4) Mike Onwenu, Cole Strange, Layden Robinson, Mehki Butler
T (3) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Caedan Wallace
DE (3) Keion White, Milton Williams, Elijah Ponder
DT (3) Christian Barmore, Jahvaree Ritzie, Khyiris Tonga
ILB (3) Jahlani Tavai, Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss
OLB (3) Harold Landry, Bradyn Swinson, Anfernee Jennings
CB (6) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, Marcus Jones, Isaiah Bolden, Alex Austin, Jordan Polk
SS (2) Kyle Dugger, Dell Pettus
FS (3) Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson, Marcus Epps
ST (4) Bryce Baringer, Julian Ashby, Brenden Schooler, Andres Borregales

Total Players: 53

You have some on here that were unexpected. Westover, Ponder, Ritzie, Jordan Polk and 8 receivers with no Boutte. I remain unconvinced on Robinson, Butler, Brown and Wallace, no Chaisson, worried Swinson might be another Uche. I applaud your effort and like many on this site, CAN'T WAIT FOR SOME FOOTBALL IN A COUPLE WEEKS.

Kyle Williams posts 800 yards, 5 TD’s.

Good to see the Boyz getting some extra work in.

I was going to say the same thing. Dude looks different imo. I expect big big things from him this season.

That's because we've been so used to watching terrible, Terrible WR play (Harry, BoneyT, the 2024 draft picks etc etc) that anybody with even a hint of competency seems like a Revelation.

Does anyone know anything about Boutte's absence during the throwing session?

Bourne showing leadership is a solid. Looks like a keeper.

That was a tremendous value added by Bourne in just one conversation during an informal offseason workout. Really good look.
