I recall a span of years when we could count on one offensive lineman retiring every training camp. Happening again and being so early, a good omen, perhaps?
Andrews and now Schweitzer

Brown could now make the 53 as the #3 C and backup OG.

Pretty unusual to have an UDFA trying to make the team talk to reporters. I think they really like his odds to make it right now, or he already made full blown believers of them. I know people talk about 'wait till the pads come on'. But there is a flip side to that. The Pads aren't even on yet, and if you aren't winning hard now, why should we expect you to win super hard later? I think Chism will translate just as well once the Pads go on and i think they know it. Calling it now, he's a lock. Not just likely. Lock.
That was the first thing to come to my mind when I read the report and then posted about it. UDFA being made available to the media?

Chism is the meal ticket for every Pats beat reporter right now. They'd all jump through hoops at the chance to put a mic in front of him. That's who's giving them the most clicks/engagement.

He's made a sh!tbag more $ than I have, even though he is just out of college...what a sucky deal THAT is.

Just call him, ****stain. So there's no confusion.

White's not pulling punches. Basically said Mayo provided him nothing. Then later says Vrabel reminds him of Bill.

“I was training myself, I’m not going to lie,” White told reporters

“I like Mike. He leads with work. I can respect that,” White said. “It’s similar to Bill (Belichick), just with a younger face. I think we all know how I feel about that; I liked him. So it’s comforting to know that you have a hard-ass at the helm who will not be afraid to fistfight with you in a back alley.”

Barmore gonna be a team captain
“I’m good to go,” Barmore said with a smile. “I’ve got the green light.”

“It’s really just a lot of fire in my heart,” Barmore said. “I feel like after that situation, people forget who I am,” Barmore said. “So I’m really bringing a lot of competitive [energy] with me."

“I just want to prove that I’m still me, and I’m always going to be me,” he added.

“I love it,” Barmore said with a broad grin. “I love it. Really love it. It excites me every time, man. It’s just real good energy every day. I love it.”

That’s interesting and all, but ultimately it’s time for White to prove it on the field. I can see the talent out there, but he’s just been too inconsistent. Hopefully Vrabel and company can get him to focus (which it sounds like they have from the above) and can put him in positions to succeed.

Agree no one really cares about excuses ultimately you need results regardless of circumstances. But as far as excuses go Mayo does appear to be a fairly valid one.

I'd say based on his comments even though it's now his 3rd year he still expects to have that "second year leap"

If he is truly healthy and I have no reason to doubt he is, him and Milton on the inside? Good luck with that. Every single down is going to be a nightmare for the opposing offenses.

I love what I’m hearing about Barmore’s health. I’m just really hoping that him and Milton can stay healthy. That’s going to be a big problem for opponents of both those guys are on the field. And look for White to have a great season. He’s getting real coaching now.

I'm still pissed I bought into Mayo after week 1 last season. What a dumbass.

LoL I'm mad at myself for giving Mayo the benefit of the doubt too. Like many I had a bad feeling from press conference 1(and even prior to that too).

But a combination of liking him from his playing and not wanting to let My disappointment in firing BB bias my opinion I ignored my instincts.
