George Pickens traded

Tomlin playing chess. Wicked smaht
Pitt won this trade IMO.

The 2026 draft is supposed to be loaded. Dallas is a spot where Pickens can get in more trouble.

Moss was better than Rice....but his career wasn't.

Josh Gordon is such a "what could have been".
Moss had problems with every team that he played on. TV was interviewing Moss after a Vikings game and he had this pixxed off look on his face. The Vikes won and Moss had a big game. WTF could be wrong?

Gordon had speed, body control and hands. Just like Moss.

Anyone check on PF2?? Hope nothing bad happened to him when he read that the Cowboys traded for Pickens....

I really think this is part of it, with Pop leaving the bench Tomlin is the longest tendered coach in American professional sports, I looked up when they last won a championship, and last got to the finals.

Mike Tomlin - Won 2008 , Finals 2010
Erik Spoelstra - Won 2012-2013, Finals 2022-2023
Jon Cooper - Won 2020-2021 , Finals 2021-22
Kevin Cash - Lost WS 2020
Brian Schmetzer - Won 2019, Finals 2020

Tomlin is just lucky the Rooney's value stability over all else.

The Rooney's know they have a good HC who can coach a team to compete for a SB if they have a good roster.

They need to fire their GM because it's the roster construction is the problem.

Concern for Maye shouldn't be about adding muscle, it should be about his head... Two dingers to the noggin in ten games is a real concern
One reason to be happy that we got McDanials. We don't want our quarterback to play heroball all day, only when it counts.

Yep. Moss's problems always seem rooted to contract-related issues.

Rice was the most professional WR of all time in every way possible.

A proud franchise at the mercy of Aaron ****in' Rogers. Kind of sad in a way, but as an old school Pats fan, I wish them nothing but the worst.
I would love to see Aaron Rodgers do a tour around the league on the various teams I hate lol. Always hated the Steelers but I at least have respect for that franchise (unlike the New Jersey Jets). It really is sad they're sitting there waiting for him to emerge from his Fear and Loathing trip in a cave somewhere so he can be their quarterback.

After 18 yeas of winning seasons, Tomlin will have a losing record for the first time this year. He may even get fired for it. Let's say they know they have Aaron Rogers locked up. That still brings a losing record. They dude has lost it mentally and physically.

Rooney Rule amendment: Don't fire Mike Tomlin no matter how many years he coaches without winning a championship.
He rode the perfect storm to some early success:
- Took over a prebuilt contender
- Healthy, peak Rothlisberger was truly elite
- Won it all the year Brady got hurt

That helped him start his career 5-0 in the playoffs. He's gone 3-11 since. Downright abysmal.

If Pollard doesn't blow out Brady's knee, Tomlin never gets that one SB win. He'd have been unemployed long ago, or floundering at different stops a la Ron Rivera. Instead he's now the longest tenured coach in American pro sports.

Crazy butterfly effect.

Its true, Tomlin rode Cowhers jockstrap for his only Super Bowl win.

Tomlin wasted Big Bens career losing every way imaginable in every round of the playoffs.

Pickens is way better than bony Tyquan Thornton ever was. He’s no choir boy but he will get his payday with someone because talent talks in the NFL. This might be a one year rental by the Cowboys but they get a guy who could put up 1,000 yards for their offense.
Eh. He averages 58 catches a year. For contrast, Jakoby Meyers averages 66 and that includes a rookie season in which he was hardly utilized.

Cowboys getting desperate to surround Prescott with help so he can actually win some playoffs games which he seems allergic to. The highest paid QB (annually) in the NFL has 2 playoff wins.

He also needs stellar protection these days, as his fragility is a real drawback. I'm not sure he makes it to the playoffs without a serious ailment or two.

We didn't hold onto Meyers either. Another BB mistake.

I'm not even saying I want Pickens today, considering he's going to get a big payday soon. I'm just stating the facts he was a much better prospect than Thornton and would have helped our offense more even if we ended up trading him later for being a diva. Nearly 1,000 yards per year for 3 years would have made a difference for our anemic offense.

Pitt has no QB which is part of the reason why Pickens is pixxed off.

Pickens average reception in 2023 was 18 yards. He is big play where as Meyers is a dink and dunk artist.

I really do hate the steelers.

Mike Tomlin can stay forever... one less afc team to worry about in the post season.

I don't understand the Steelers hate. Why not hate the Ravens, the team that supported a murderer? I just hate the city of Balitmore in general, also. And, unfortuantely, the Ravens had an excellent draft and may prove to be ugly way for the Patriots to start the season. Maybe we will catch them by surprise, but I doubt it.

Wait until we play the Steelers then decide on hating them or laughing at them.

I'd say a 3rd is too high for a guy you'll have difficulty signing.

On the other hand, he may have a great season in a contract year with a much better QB in Prescott throwing to him than whatever the Steelers had, a better offense in general. and some serious player taking attention away from him at WR

We'll see.
My guess is that they thought they would get a late 3rd two years from now as a comp if he walks, worse case is that they traded pick 76 or so in 2026 for a pick 140 the following years as a comp 4th. Best case is that Dallas(pitt) is picking around 88 and they get a comp pick around 100. The same cant be said of the pats as they would still most likely be a player in FA next year and not be eligible for comp

Your heart is too pure.

Mine has room for plenty of hate for the Jete, Squealers, Ratbirds, Jete, Queefs, Dolts, Jerruhs, Smeagles, Billdos, Jete...

There are more, but I got so much hatred my brain can't keep up.
