Polk to IR
Bourne cut
Tavai cut
Mapu to LB

Teams generally aren’t fine due to cutting one of their best players.
He wasn't last year and on this team it's not saying much.

My try at the roster couldn't keep everyone I wanted had to keep some I felt could go in the long run.

Of course he was. When he played he played well. Can’t hold missing time against him in terms of his quality of play.
Hes a good football player. Unquestionably better than whoever would play instead of him. I can’t imagine that’s even debatable.

I do hold it against him. He missed most of the year so no, he wasn't. Can't be the best on the team if he doesn't play.

Peppers is a good player. Patriots do not have the luxury of cutting non choir boys who slipped up.
He does not have to be captain but would be cautious about jettisoning him

Im more about putting the best team on the field than holding a grudge against a guy who had an injury and was accused of something that he was not found guilty of.
Should we cut Barmore for being unhealthy and having a run in with the police? He played fewer games than peppers

Why do you take a statement and turn it into a ridiculous extreme?

I'm not even going to comment on it.

Your statement was extreme. Cutting starting players who are clearly better than their replacement is more extreme than me making a comparison to a different player who had similar circumstances to the ones you are using ad a reason

You are overrating his value. Not comparable to Barmore who also has something to prove on the field.

Why would Barmore have more value because he “has something to prove”? What does he have to prove?

Peppers is a starter I am not overrating his value.
He has been a Patriot 3 years and played in 38 games, starting 26 played 1726 snaps and has 178 tackles.

Barmore has been a Patriot 4 years has played in 48 games and started 11 has played 1799 snaps and made 139 tackles.

Why would they not be comparable, particularly on your stated reasons of didn’t play much last year and had legal issues?

I didn't say value. Since you said it, Barmore has more value as he is younger and a penetrating DT

Peppers is a soon to be 30 year old safety. He needs to prove he can play at a high level. The NEP have several on the roster. You think he is better than I do. Moving on....

In general, Barmore needs to prove heath, can play in the new system, and is a cultural fit.

Peppers needs to prove he can play well in the new defense, is a cultural fit, and hasn't slowed down physically (30 in Oct). He also has a layoff to work back from.
