I'm just glad it looks like the shoe is on the other foot now! The careers of Judkins and Henderson will definitely be compared going forward.

Only BB could watch both Chubb and Michel and come away thinking Sony was the better player. Chubb was the superior runner but we all know Sony probably interviewed well. BB Drafted a Debating society who's already out of the League. We were so blessed with Brady who covered up those Blatant Draft Blunders.

Elliott Wolf looks like a much better GM with Josh McDaniels in the war room. Nothing will slow down a pass rush like a strong running game and a guy like this on the business end of a screen.

(Ok, having an offensive line won't hurt either.)

These highlights are very impressive, but the OLine and downfield blocking was incredible. Who the hell are these blockers? Can we get us some of them? Dang.

Anyway I was shocked when the pick was made thinking that Patriots had bigger needs, but in retrospect, it was a bold move by the Patriots that may pay off big time. This guy can really accelerate; now we just need to open some holes for him.

One thing occurred to me last night. Daniel Jeremiah says Henderson is the best blocking RB in years. That's not a bad thing to have when you have a rookie LT who still has some coachable issues to iron out. Expect plenty of chip blocks from Henderson on defenders Campbell is up against.

I'm more worried about Strange and Bradbury than Campbell. They'll use a TE to help him out.

Sam Monson thought he was a bit of a reach at 38, but I think he's a perfect fit for our offense.

I'm curious about Gibson's role now. He was an excellent zone scheme back and good in pass pro. Not sure how much we'll see of that under McD.

I think anyone from the previous regime not named Maye or Gonzo were safe from potentially being replaced in the short or medium term. That doesn't mean they will be but I think Vrabel came in with the mindset of building his team without any allegiance to the past.

Gibson was a good pick up last year. I think he still plays.

Would not have been my pick. First off, he can't catch well, which is something i hammer home about on RBs. Secondly he isn't the kind of player who runs more than 12 times a game. I just don't believe considering those factors he has enough impact. That being said, i think he will be a good player. but not the one i would have picked at that spot.

Simply not true, Henderson is a good receiver, and great at pass protection.

I am going off his past history of carries over the season. If he can do more great. Even if he can do 20 carries a game, he still wouldn't be my pick. To be worth this pick considering his inability to catch particularly well IMO he needs to be insanely good on the ground. Like practically Derrick Henry good. I have mentioned it before but for various reasons RBs who can't catch a lot and get big YPC constantly really limit their value.

IMO for an RB to have any really value there are a few metrics they need to pass... 6.67 Yards per touch. It is hard to hit that number unless you catch a lot and well as well run close or over 5YPA if not over. As for why that number. It has to do with getting 20 yards on average for 3 touches (staying relevant with variance per play as well as overcoming penalties which tend to happen on most drives.)

Also catching is also about staying relevant in the game, period. You will sometimes face DLs that beat yours or Ds good against the run that you just can't run against on the per attempt basis you want. Do you want your 38th overall pick to just have no value some games? I don't. Which is why the damage they can do with the ball in the air is so important. Not to mention being able to get enough yards overall that have a big enough per play average to be relevant means a lot of touches.

Where did you get information that Henderson isn’t a good receiver? Because I have looked and can’t find that anywhere, and in fact what I consistently find is that he’s a good to very good receiving back.
