2025 Draft: RBs

The open question is how much folks will pay to move up for Jeanty. JAX is likely to pick him at 5 if no trades up to get him.

Reportedly Da Bears are interested in trading up for him. They've got two 2nd round picks.

Just one pick to keep at the back of your mind. Apparently the NFL isn't hot on Cam Skattebo because "he has no juice" and I've seen talk about him falling to the 4th or 5th round. Considering Vrabel's fetish for people who play with violence, that could be an interesting dynamic at the start of day three.

Here's a scenario by trading with Chicago
I ran one as well, it's in the LT thread.
I just did a mock where I got #10 and #41 from Chicago, took Banks at #10, Noel at #38. Dropped from #41 to #48 with Miami, picked up Ozzy and then Sanker at #98. Missed all the front line RBs that I would have liked, but added Miles Frazier and Alfred Collins with #69 and #77, which feels like something they might do: focus on LoS. The rest kinda played out like the other mocks we've all done.

Why is Pick #10 higher in point value than Pick #4. You got taken.
I wouldn't give up #106.

Be cool to get #39 AND #41. Then you'd have the juice to get back in to R1 for a guy like Egbuka. Or maybe one of the top safeties. Or you could stand pat, and then load up in 2 and 3.

I'm on the other side of you guys. I'd take the trade down to 10 for 1 of their 2's, and next years 2(more realistic than both 2's this year and gives more ammo next year to address needs). But I'm taking McMillan at 10. Simmons is just way too big of a gamble to take at 10. Just about everyone has him 24 or later. Field Yates the only one I've seen with him in the top 20.

With 38, 41, 69, and 77 you easily have ammo to get up to Minnesota's pick. One of Conerly or Simmons will be there. Possibly both. Trade 38 and 69 for 24 and a 4 next year. Take your LT.

You've got your WR1, LT, and still have 2 more picks on day 2 to address the defense.

I was going Banks at #10 and then back up for Egbuka, who feels more like a technician for JMcD to play mad scientist with.

More than one way to skin a cat, eh?

I'm not advocating for him but if Greg likes him than I'd be OK with it lok

I think my options at 38 are now exclusively (in order)

Ezeiruaku
Henderson
Higgins
Noel
Scourton

And then probably a WR in the 3rd depending on who's left.

I'm all for it. Hoping it's him or Burden. Might lean Henderson because Im on the Horton train in Round 3. Many of the explosive backs later aren't as polished or pro ready as Henderson.

Hes got the size to be an every down back. I know there are some durability concerns but hes not just a James White type. He could be the lead back and 3rd down back, with Rhamondre the secondary guy.

Henderson and hopefully a focused Rhamondre is a helluva tandem in the backfield.
