2025 Draft: RBs

Sorry to be a bore guys but I haven't posted about Lequint Allen for all of a week. Just two things:

1. 4% drop rate over two years on 104 targets.
2. 78 targets in 2024. The next closest is 59.
3. Check out the cut at 0:29 in the video., Breaks the linebackers ankle.

And he’s only 20. Spot on, Manxie!

Here's James Fowler on RBs. I'll watch the whole thing tomorrow but I wanted to watch what he had to say about LeQuint Allen. He calls him a "3rd down ace". I can go to bed happy.

If he's there in the 4th round....

Lan Larison, UC Davis, 6-0, 215lbs

In terms of yards receiving, the BEST receiving RB in CFB with 853 yards on 65 receptions

As a pass blocker, the 2nd highest pass blocking grade at 89.9. Only gave up two pressures in 5 years

over 1,400 yards rushing this past season and 17 TDs

ZERO career fumbles

Reportedly runs a comprehensive route tree.

Is he athletic?

4.46 forty
35.5" VJ
10" BJ
6.9 3-cone
4.18 SS

And he can do this (He's no 3 in motion at the bottom of the screen):

There's a bunch of fun plays on his highlight reel including at least 3 hurdles

Larison is a late day 3/ priority UDFA type but special teams and his ability as a 3rd down back will keep him on NFL rosters for a decade. He's another from the files of just does everything right prospect.

you've also got to love a guy with the self-confidence to rock a 'tash.

If they take Larison with the extra 5th rounder they picked up I will take back everything bad I said about the Joe Milton trade.

He could have a Danny Woodhead/Julian Edelman level impact in a Josh McDaniels offense. Total New England Cult hero potential.

5th RD?

I was literally just watching this lol I have to imagine he goes higher than projected now that he's getting the hype.
I think they're right about him. His lack of breakaway speed caps his value. I still think he's the best receiving RB in the draft but, certainly, the Patriots seem to be looking at speed at RB which makes me think he won't be for us sadly.
