2025 Draft: WRs

PFF name Pat Bryant as the draft class’ most clutch receiver

“Bryant caught 10 of 16 clutch targets last season and led the draft class with 225 yards and three touchdowns on those plays. Each of his catches moved the chains, and he was the only Power Four receiver to record double-digit first downs in clutch moments.”

I like Bryant as a big possession WR but very limited athletically. Great blocker and good hands, he played in a ton of 2 WR sets.

Matt Harmon on Tory Horton

High success rates against press and on slants - the staple of moving the chains - sure makes him sound like a future X receiver.

Plus his injury that led to limited play in his final year and facing limited competition at CO State will drop Horton's draft stock. Could be a steal.

I think he'll end up in that Harris/Ayomanor range in the early to mid third. He's too good to fall much further than that. If he's there at 106, snap him up. He's a team captain too so character doesn't seem to be an issue and I really admire that he ran at the combine despite not being fully recovered. A nice change when you see so many opt out of running.

Being slow is by far the greater transgression as far as the NFL is concerned.

But he wasn't slow...he still ran a 4.39 (if memory serves), but he was talking about setting the combine record.....but he went undrafted.

Seattle got both Horton and Ricky White two good WR selections on Day 3...Great Value picks.

I am not sure about White, but Horton would have been nice. I guess we have something to look forward to next year.

Ricky White: By closing out their draft with another receiver in White, nine of the Seahawks' 11 picks were on offensive players. Not to sell White short on how he could make an impact right away as a seventh-round pick. In addition to leading UNLV in receiving for three straight seasons, White blocked four punts and was named Mountain West special teams player of the year in 2024. That may be his ticket to a roster spot in Seattle's crowded receiver corps. White ran a sluggish 4.61 40 at the combine then improved that time with a 4.44 at his pro day after training with a speed coach.

I really like Ricky White: he didn't run well at the Combine: but ran much better at his Pro Day. White is another one of those guys who plays much faster than their 40 times.

I would rather have guys that play as fast as their really fast 40 times. Based on the 2025 draft, Vrabel and crew like fast 40 and play speed as well.

This should've been a Two-WR draft. Eleven ****ing picks, and only One WR, Two "skill" position players in total?

That ain't enough. Not by a damn sight.

We have a very crowded WR room. You may not like most of them, but Boutte and Douglas have shown promise, and it's still pretty early to give up on Polk and Baker without at least seeing what they can do in camp.

I was personally hoping for a Day 3 gander on a high upside athletic guy like Isaac TeSlaa. But hard to do when he goes at 70. Detroit likes to reach for high upside guys with freakish athleticism, like Giovanni Manu last year and TeSlaa this year. Bastards.
