NFL Draft Talk

No one denies that.
The key issue is Will Campbell the right player to fill that hole at LT.
I think a year from now Campbell will be our LG and we will be looking for LT all over again
If the Pats take Will Campbell I will hope for the best. But I'm scared of him busting more than most of the other options available at that spot. You're betting on an extreme outlier, with the 4th overall pick, simply out of desperation to fill LT. He had success in the SEC, but so did guys like Alex Leatherwood and Jedrick Wills and Isaiah Wilson, and none of them had the 0 percentile wingspan of Campbell. If he succeeds he'll be the first with those measurables to do so. I just don't believe Campbell is the best player they can take at #4. Maybe if they trade down and get extra picks and then take him, then sure, take a chance then. But especially with the growing buzz surrounding Jeanty, who may be the third best overall prospect in this draft regardless of position, they should explore trading down if they're not taking Jeanty. There's going to be more than one OT in this draft who makes it in the NFL, and they may not all be in the first round. This team needs help at every position.

Looks like there is a battle between the Giants personnel department and coaching on Sanders. The question is who will ownership go with if true.

If Campbell winds up a pro bowl Guard, you’d be mad ? If he gets drafted by the Pats, he plays LT this year, and if he doesn’t make it, you draft the best LT you can get in 2026 (or sign the best LT available in FA), and move Campbell to LG. It’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t end up being good enough at LT, it’s been done before.

What would be the price tag on jameson williams? Rumors he's on the block. And saw he unfollowed lions on social media

If Campbell turns out to be a Pro Bowl guard I’d be fine with that, I’m just not confident that it’s such a sure thing if he doesn’t work out at tackle. It would still represent a missed opportunity to get a better player at a different position. Interior linemen at #4 are poor bets unless they're the next John Hannah or Bruce Matthews and Campbell is not built like those guys.

I want a greater impact than “he might be a great guard”, a position that is easier to find quality help in than tackle. I remember when Brian Waters fell into our lap in 2011 after the Chiefs cut him in training camp. He became a Pro Bowl player for us that year at age 34. Can’t remember the last time a Pro Bowl OT was cut during training camp. I get that’s also sort of making the argument for the Campbell backers, but not exactly. I’m not against taking a LT, I’m for taking a LT that is less likely to be moved to guard.

Every time he gets beat on an inside move, someone here is gonna pitch a fit. The kid is eff'd before he even starts as far as some posters here are concerned.

I just want to team to get better. I really don't like Greg Bedard, but he made a good point on his mock: if the line gets fixed and becomes a strength, it doesn't matter if they take a guy at #4 or #10 and they take one at #38 or #69, as long as the line gets fixed. The asshats here will ***** about the draft slot, and those guy will ***** even if they win.

I just want the team to get better. I really don't give a **** about the guy they take at #4 is a fine pick at #8. Eff that. That's picayune whining and wanting to be right. Make the team better. This is a ****ty draft to be at #4, we get it. Blame Mayo if you want. The same guys throwing the blame around would have been the ones *****ing that they didn't get a high enough ransom to trade out of the #1 slot.
I agree with your overall point the only thing that really matters is the team improves, regardless of who gets drafted where, membou at 4 is the same player with the same potential drafted at 8, as long as he fixes the problem who gives af? The difference is membou drafted at 4 is just membou, membou drafted at 8 also adds a decent RB or DT or Edge or TE. Adding a high second round pick would be huge to making the team better and that’s what all the *****ing about draft slot is about. I hope and pray they find someone in that #8-10 range willing to come up because I would be completely happy with any of Campbell, Membou, Jeanty, or Warren in that spot with the extra ammo of a 2nd round pick. At least one of them should still be there depending on what spot we trade down to, though I would go no lower then 10 because we do need one of those guys, not the next tier of players. If they come out of this draft with 5 top 100 picks at LT, Edge, RB, TE, FS in that order of importance IMO that would do wonders to increase the base level of talent to the team.

Of course, we got LUCKY to get Waters, he probably wanted a Championship, so came over to try and get it.
NOONE at LT in the draft in PERFECT Intangible wise.
Are we going to kick the can down the road YET AGAIN?

Thursday night can't get here soon enough. We are just regurgitating the same old, tired points.

Campbell has no arms
Campbell isn't worth #4
They should just trade up/down
They should take (insert some other player here)
Oh I dunno, the 'Jeanty is actually Ladanian Tomlinson' **** this week's been pretty ****ing funny.

Say the Cowboys call the Pats up and offer Parsons and their 1st for #4. I get Parsons needs a new contract but you’d have to consider it.

Why on earth would the cowboys do that?

Why do people still post Savage like he’s the least bit credible? Wolf and Vrabel not telling people who we are taking isn’t exactly news.

Nothing in this tweet is actually from Savage. He is just reposting a video of the MacAfee Show. Savage’s credibility is irrelevant.

While it is true that Golden is a good separator...those plays on the highlight reel are ridiculous. He's not even covered in half of them.
Golden is not jammed at the line in any of them.
