I don't quite agree, he has good athleticism. What he really lacked leaving college was strength. That's one of the few athletic traits one can fix. Where he really lacks as a player is his technique, he's either really dumb or really lazy.Jacobs has the protoypical size for OT and especially the 36" arm length but not the athleticism- which is what we saw vs the 49ers. Broncos liked him, too and improved year 2 but clearly not enough as they cut him, but immediately signed him to their PS.
Maybe hes a PS emergency guy for us.
Like you said, he is wider than a house... but he doesn't play with his feet. He is slow to react, then he reaches and grabs.
If a line coach and a strength coach could get through to him, he could be a starter, but this far along in his professional journey we have to wonder if the lightbulb will ever come on.
