Since I don’t see a binkie thread for 2025, I figured I’d start one. Here are mine in no particular order.

Cam Skatteebo RB Arizona State- I just love this guy. He reminds me of a young John Riggins, but a smaller version. Runs with violence, has good hands out of the backfield. I just think he’s special. I heard someone call him a more talented Rex Burkhead. I’d take that every day.

Jack Bech WR TCU- He won’t be the only TCU WR on my list. Seems to catch everything. Could be this year’s Puka Nacua. May not have great speed (similar to Nacua), but has good agility, had a 6.84 three cone. Has good size too at 6’1” 215.

Savion Williams WR TCU- This guy intrigues the hell out of me. A true Swiss Army knife of a player. BIG receiver at 6’5” 225. But also ran the ball for TCU. Reminds me so much of Cordarrelle Patterson.

Mason Taylor TE LSU- Probably the best blocking top 5 rated TE in the 2025 draft, broke the LSU TE record becoming the 1st LSU to eclipse 100 catches and 1000 yards for his LSU career (they obviously don’t throw to their TE’s a lot). Had a very good combine as well. He’s a better receiving TE than his stats indicate.

Josh Conerly OT Oregon. Excellent pass blocker and solid run blocker. Gave up 9 pressures all season. A TRUE LT. I wouldn’t mind him at 38 if we wind up getting Hunter at 4.

Those are just a few, I’m sure I’ll add more in the coming weeks. Who are your 2025 draft binkies ?

I tend to find my binkies among the back end of the draft - at least they're there when I first discover them.

Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU - He has moved up draft boards since I first found him the 5th-6th rounds. Statistically, he's on a par with the best edge rushers in this draft. Finally he's getting the recognition he deserves.

LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse - I discovered him the day Josh McDaniels re-joined the Pats because I was looking for a James White type. He's the best receiving back in the draft, equally adept lining up at WR as he is RB and is arguably the best pass blocker amongst RBs in the draft. He is the closest thing to James White in this draft in my opinion. I just wish he was a little more athletic.

Kyle Williams, WR Washington State - The draft community was quiet on him for a long time. He's now getting the recognition his talents deserve. Not the most accomplished as an all round receiver but arguably the best deep threat in the draft.

Efton Chism III, WR, Eastern Washington - His 4.7 forty might mean he doesn't get drafted, but he is a very accomplished slot receiver. He broke a number of Cooper Kupp's receiving records at Eastern Washington.

Logan Brown, OT, Kansas - A raw RT but he has the length and athleticism to play LT and his film is good too. He just looks the part physically.

Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas - I just love his physicality and attitude. He is 100% football and will take on anyone in run defense. Good ball skills too. Would be a fan favourite providing he doesn't give away too many PI penalties.

Nohl Williams, CB, Cal - Led the nation in INTs and is another that is very physical both in press, at the catch point and in run support. I can only think his 4.5 forty is what is suppressing his stock because I just don't understand it otherwise.

There are others I like - LT Charles Grant, Tahj Brooks, the two Jaylins (Noel and Lane), Pat Bryant and Jayden Higgins but the ones listed above are the ones I 'discovered' and have the most connection too for that reason.

Cobee Bryant was from Kansas as well

Some more

Dont’e Thornton WR Tennessee- I know, I know, a speed demon named Thornton would give us all PTSD. But this guy is BIG, no chicken legs. 6’5” 205 (looks heavier), and ran a 4.30 forty, led the team in receiving yards with 661 yards and td catches (6), on only 26 receptions. Had six 50+ yard receptions which lead the country in that category. Has big hands, and is a natural pass catcher. Definite mismatch. Just once I would love for the Pats to swing for the fences on a prospect like this. May turn out to be a one trick pony, but may turn out to be a home run. Use the 5th round pick on him.

Jack Sawyer Edge Defender Ohio State- EVERY TIME I watched Ohio State’s defense, Sawyer was so noticeable. Just a fantastic all around player. All over the field 3 down defender. Definitely would give the defense a fierce player.

Brashard Smith RB SMU- Very versatile, explosive back, started out as a receiver, so he can catch the ball out of the backfield, has return ability too. Just an explosive weapon. Can line up all over the field, spread out as a receiver.

Powerful edge rusher who has football as a priority in his life. 4.63 40 and 6.94 3 cone at his pro day. ELITE!

He also posted a 36.5-inch vertical leap (92nd percentile), a 10-foot broad jump (84th percentile), and 24 reps on the bench press at the 2025 NFL Combine.

Who is this 6’3” 267 man? Tarzan?

Pretty much.

Louisville’s Ashton Gillotte. Perfectly suited to be the strong side DE in our new 4-3 defense.

Only knock on him is his short arms.

And just you wait until Captain Stone gets a look at his hot momma! He’s going to drop his marijuana smoking device and have his hat pop off his head, Buckwheat style.

That boy is thick. But you have to like his closing speed at that size.

My favorite Brashard Smith clip

Good find. Guys like Brashard Smith exist and we can get them in the 4th round or later.

This is why I don't get the calls for Jeanty at #4. We have way more pressing needs and we can find good RBs to pair with Stevenson in the mid to later rounds.

I might as well announce some of the guys I like now, because the Patriots usually don't draft them and I'll forget later.

WR Travis Hunter, T-Mac, Matthew Golden, Kyle Williams, Jayden Higgins, Jalen Royals.

If we can snag a couple of those guys I think our WR corps will be special. Williams, Higgins, or Royals might be available later if we double dip.

This WR draft class might not be as great as the guys we PASSED ON in the N'Keal Harry draft, OOF, but it seems to be pretty deep and there are some solid playmakers to be had here as long as we pick the right ones.

Obviously I’m a huge Jaylen Royals fan as well as Brashard Smith. My two favorites binkies. Talked about them both in their prospective position threads back in January.

Tough calls on the tackles and guards. A lot to like and lot of uncertainties for some. Guess I’ll go with Jake Majors at Center.

DT can’t decide vs Collins, Farmer, Peebles, Phillips, Jenkins. Leaning towards Peebles.

Early round binkies are kind of obvious and not nearly as fun to claim imo. However, lately have been kind of getting a binkie crush on Higgins but he’s taken already by Manx.

I pinched him off dlivery44. You're welcome to join us.

Royals is similar to Tre Harris. Both coming back from injuries. Both similar build. Jalen is slightly faster but Tre is more athletic. Jalen is a year younger so Tre has the production. I'd be happy with either.

Not counting Hunter/Carter, binkies are:

Membou
Banks
Conerly
Simmons
Ersery

Basically what I gather from scouts/reports/combine to be the true OT prospects projected to go in the top 2 rounds.

Odds are 2 to 4 of those guys become legit starting LTs. Pats have to do their work and take a shot on at least one of them.

I was kind of sad when Brashard Smith broke out at the senior bowl because he wasn’t a secret anymore. Got a little Percy Harvin to his game, A little smaller and a bit of a fumbler which can be corrected. Decent but not great power, good speed and hands. Definitely a 3rd down back worthy of Josh Mcdaniels attention.

John Michael Gyllenborg tight end
Laquint Allen RB
Meeks WR Syracuse
Savion Jones DE

Most of my binkies are later round guys.

RB: Jacorey Croskey-Merritt
WR: Jayden Higgins and Isaac TeSlaa
OT: Jack Nelson
IDL: CJ West
EDGE: Jah Joyner
LB: Jihaad Campbell

This is the narrowed down version
