It's been a while. Catch me up?

Manxman and Patchick return after a long absence. Good times ahead. Your annual draft contest was so fun.
It's weird because I was thinking about that just today before Patchick's post and whether to do it myself. Obviously fate decided against that and brought her back.

Shall I gather from this that a draft contest would be welcome? I'll be interested to see if non-Belichick picks are more predictable!

There was quite the spirited discussion regarding LSU OT Will Campbell. He would be far and away the concensus pick given his 3 yrs of production in the SEC, his athleticism and nasty streak, however, as fate would have it when measured at the combine he has short arms and an incredibly short wing span that have most convinced he'll play guard dashing the hopes of having a stud LT for the next ten years.

There is no consensus pick for the Patriots at 4 unless DE Carter or WR/CB Hunter fall. It's a terrible QB class, as fate would also have it so the ability to trade back is diminished considerably, putting the Patriots in the position of drafting mid round talent at the top of the draft.

QB Cam Ward will go in the top 3 picks. QB Shaduer Sanders (Dieon's kid) is the wild card. He lacks blue chip athleticism and tools, but he's accurate. He's projected to go anywhere from top 4 to the bottom of round 1.

Yeah but after failing to address it through free agency once again they may as well select him. I'd just ask that they add another true LT that meets the size and passes the eye test. Ersery*cough*lol

It would be very welcome.

I'm looking forward to seeing what draft cues Vrabel has. Sadly one draft doesn't a pattern make but so long as there aren't random second round DBs drafted, we may be in with a chance. Ironically I have two Rutgers prospects in my up to date predictive mock.

Welcome Back ... Will you be doing the Annual Draft Contest again?

welcome back chicky

Excuse my intrusion and pardon my impolite welcome, but please tell me you are not power trip Ashley? You are a different person correct? If so, a huge welcome back and excited to have you posting here again.

@patchick will you be posting your annual draft contest?

Be still, my dog of war. They are quite the different people.

I remember tying one year with 2, and you had to give me a waiver because I mis-spelled Justise Hairston! Now we just need Dry Heat, and Box back...

They are with the other great Patsfans in the sky (box).

@bakes781 if the Pats draft one of your binkies who do you want it to be? Don't think of needs or realistic opportunity, just the guy you are pulling for the most.
This is gonna sound weird, but Deion's son Shilo(S) is intriguing as a very, very late pick, great pedigree.
Another more realistic binky is if the Pats trade back to 8 or 9, Ashton Jeanty might change the focus of our offense for years to come, not confident that Vrabel & braintrust would do that.
Tyler Warren is also a player to think about, always like those QB/TE combos who you could always count on...

There are about 45 safeties better than him in this Draft. I wouldn't want him even as an UDFA.

I was thinking about pick 238... not much draft capital expended at all.

It's becoming more and more a possibility that Travis falls to us after all...

That was a month ago. Might as well be a year lol

It'd be garbage even if it were published a second ago. My point is if I'm searching and I see that headline, I know I can just skip it.
