It's been a while. Catch me up?

This is all fantastic, you guys are the best! So the core dilemma is that neither need nor BPA shapes up to be particularly satisfying at #4? Ugh.
Yeah ideally we would love to get Abdul Carter because who doesnt need an Elite edge rusher? We were in position to have the 1st overall pick. But as many love to harp on we managed to win that last game vs Buffalo because the Bills had nothing to play for and our other rookie QB Joe Milton put on a show.

Travis Hunter I'm a bit less confident in because he's adamant that he play both sides of the ball. I love the confidence but it's verging on arrogance.

Back in the day, I was so frustrated at how Tim Tebow's "determination" and "confidence" were praised for insisting that he had to play QB, otherwise he'd take his ball and go home. I'm all for ambition, but it gives me pause when it verges into it's-all-about-me.

That's not quite how it is with Hunter. Firstly he's proven that he can play both ways at a top level and he says he wants to continue but has also said he'll do whatever the team wants. He comes across as genuinely humble and a team player.

Very much Yes. In FA Cam Robinson is out there, he is a LT that was traded from Jax last year to Minnesota when Darrisaw got hurt. He is 30 and an avg LT but will probably want 15M a year. The problem IMO is that he is not that much of an upgrade over Vedarian Lowe. Neither one of them run blocks very well, Robinson is a better at pass blocking...maybe.

30 years old Robinson had 997 snaps at LT in 2024 he had 13 penalties and allowed 52 pressures (QB hurries, hits, sacks combined)
25 Lowe 803 13 33

We don't have anyone penciled in at starter for LG or Center, we have in house options but they are GTD.

I agree about Hunter, him wanting to prove that he can do something never done before is going to end up a problem I think. His college film is riddled with a fluid, super athletic kid that has some concentration drops(most WRs do) and ran a limited route tree. He lined up mostly on the R side of the offense, This makes me wonder if he did not know enough of the offense because he was bouncing focus.

Hunter is a stud but I would prefer he not be our stud. If he focuses on one side of the ball he will be an all pro at either position, but not if he does them both as he may push for. There are 2 QBs that some "experts" speculate will go in the top 3, but this draft reminds me a lot of Kenny Pickett draft when Pickett went mid-late first.

I am sorry that I am droning on but I love this ****.

It may be guilt by association with Shedeur Sanders who most definitely is arrogant.

You call that droning on? Do I need to speak about how much I loathe Will Campbell??

I think the kid just loves ball, but I also think he wants to be the 1st to play both way full time.

I want us to draft Tet McMillan and then some clever network can cover the brilliant Maye-McMillan connection as The Tet Offensive. I don't have any more Drake jokes now and I'm tired.

Welcome back! Gone for years and still able to incisively sum up our entire draft forum discussion over the last season. That's talent. You were missed.

Oh and we forgot to mention that the Patriots reportedly have tried to offer insane amounts of money to Calvin Ridley last year and were prepared to do the same for Tee Higgins and even were supposedly offering Chris Godwin $22 million more than he got to return to Tampa.

Conclusion = We are no longer a highly sought after destination.

She had me at Hi

Since you left
I lost 40 lbs then became very fond of gummies and gained back 50
Retired from my job. Since I’m home all the time my wife and I have MMA fights live in house
Have been rewarded with 3 grandchildren. One of each
Moving to SC for the winters because they are flat out stupid down south. Which makes me look brilliant
Mayo got fired because he comes from the South. Vrabel got hired.
Belichick is a Level 1 Sex Offender. Kraft is weekend at Bernie’s
That’s it in a nutshell
Welcome back

Good to see you back Patchick. It’s changed a little bit with some of the faces but it still remains one of the strengths of Patsfans. As always, far less drama than some of the other forums and a lot of good info shared amongst the posters.

My work has ramped up 10 fold as of January and really haven’t been able to participate this year the way I’d like. Should be getting a break here early April to try to play catch up.

Manxman and Patchick return after a long absence. Good times ahead. Your annual draft contest was so fun.
